What A Feeling
by Irene Cara
from the classic movie Flashdance (1983)

First when there's nothing
But a slow glowing dream
That your fear seems to hide
Deep inside your mind

All alone, I have cried
Silent tears full of pride
In a world made of steel
Made of stone

Well, I hear the music
Close my eyes, feel the rhythm
Wrap around, take a hold of my heart

What a feeling
Being's believing
I can have it all
Now I'm dancing for my life
Take your passion
And make it happen
Pictures come alive
You can dance right through your life

Now I hear the music
Close my eyes, I am rhythm
In a flash, it takes hold of my heart

What a feeling, being's believing
I can have it all
Now I'm dancing for my life
Take your passion
And make it happen
Pictures come alive
Now I'm dancing through my life

What a feeling

What a feeling (I am music now)
Being's believing (I am rhythm now)
Pictures come alive
You can dance right through your life

What a feeling (I can really have it all)
Being's believing
(Pictures come alive when I call)
I can have it all (I can really have it all)
Have it all (pictures come alive when I call)
(Call, call ,call, call, what a feeling)
I can have it all (being's believing)
Being's believing (take your passion)

I CHOOSE: ♥ An Inspirational Poem ♥

I CHOOSE

I choose to be happy.

I choose to live in a kind universe.

I choose to find things in common with the people that come into my life, celebrating our similarites and honoring our differences.

I choose to trust that this life isn't a random life.

I choose to reach out and help another, knowing I can make a difference, even though I may never witness the outcome.

I choose to pursue an honorable career.

I choose to believe we are all here for a reason, a good reason.

I choose friends who will restore me with support, joy and kindness and offer me the opportunity to do the same for them.

I choose to search for authentic meaning in my daily experiences.

I choose to welcome life's lessons.

Rohn: It Only Takes 6 Steps to Plan Your Success. Because It’s Not About What Happens To Us, But Rather What We Do About It.

Success.com
Because it’s not about what happens to us, but rather what we do about it.
written by Jim Rohn
December 27, 2015

Our results are only as good as our plan.

My mentor Earl Shoaff taught me that it's not what happens that determines the major part of our future—because what happens, happens to us all. Instead, he taught me that the key is what we do about it. If we start the process of change by developing a plan, doing something different the next year than we did the previous year, it won't matter how small those efforts start. Start doing different things with the same set of circumstances—the ones we've always had and cannot change—and see what miracles occur. If we start the miracle process and change ourselves, then everything changes. And here's what is interesting: The difference between failure and success is subtle.

Let me explain by giving you my definitions of failure and success: Failure is a few judgment errors repeated every day. The man says, "Well, I didn't walk around the block today and it didn't kill me, so it must be OK." No, no, it is that kind of error in judgment that after six years has him out of breath and panting as he walks from his car to his office. You can't make those kinds of mistakes. It will cost you.

Now, here is my definition of success: a few simple disciplines practiced every day. Do you see the distinction? A few disciplines... Here's a little phrase we've all heard, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." And my question to you is, "What if that's true?" How simple and easy is that plan?

The fact is, when you look at successful people, you will almost always discover a plan behind their success. They know what they want, they work out a plan that will get them where they want to go, and they work their plan. It is the foundation for success.

As humans, we have the unique ability to affect change in our lives. It is through our own conscious choice when we engage in the miracle process of personal development that we are able to transform our nature and our lives.

I want this year to be a success for you—a smashing success—and we know that means you need to have a plan, and then methodically work that plan. The combination of materials, your open attitude toward learning and your diligence to follow a plan that is right for you will make this year the kind of success we know you want it to be. So let me challenge you to be no less sincere, no less committed to the advancement of your philosophy, the set of your sail, your plan.

So, what are some good ideas on developing a plan that will work well and take you to the finish line powerfully? Here are the five major points to keep in mind:

1. Develop the right plan for you.

Some people are very detail-oriented and are able to closely follow an intricate plan. Others are less detail-orientated, which is OK, too.

So what plan is the right plan? The plan that fits you. Each of us is unique and motivated by different factors and you've got to develop a plan that is right for you and fits you. Some plans will not be as intricate as others, but we all must have a plan, along with goals in that plan, to move us along. If you are a free spirit, don't tell yourself you are going to spend two hours a day with a book and a journal. It probably won't happen and you will just get discouraged. Whatever your personality, your strengths and your weaknesses, develop the plan around them. This is not a one-plan-fits-all proposition.

2. Establish times to spend on it.

It might be every Sunday night. It might be 20 minutes each morning or at lunch at before bed. It might be in the car listening to CDs every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Whatever it is, set the times and do it. In your step-by-step plan, put down points that you can accomplish every week. They should be specific and achievable. Develop the discipline and take those steps every day, which will move you closer to your goals.

3. Keep a journal.

Take notes. Mr. Shoaff taught me not to trust my memory, but to write it down, to find one place to gather the information that affects change. And that advice has served me well all these years. Record the ideas and inspiration that will carry you from where you are to where you want to be. Take notes on the ideas that impact you most. Put down your thoughts and ideas. Brainstorm with yourself on where you are going and what you want to do. Record your dreams and your ambitions. Your journals are a gathering place for all the valuable information that you will find. If you are serious about becoming wealthy, powerful, sophisticated, healthy, influential, cultured and unique, if you come across something important, write it down. Two people will listen to or read the same material and different ideas will come to each one. Use the information you gather and record it for further reflection, for future debate and for weighing the value that it is to you.

4. Reflect.

Create time for reflection—a time to go back over, to study again the things you've learned and the things you've done each day. I call it “running the tapes again” so the day locks firmly in your memory and serves as a tool. As you go through the material in this plan, you will want to spend time reflecting on its significance to you. Take a few minutes at the end of each day and go back over the day: who you talked to, who you saw, what they said, what happened and how you felt. Every day is a piece of the mosaic of your life.

Next, take a few hours at the end of the week to reflect on the week's activities. Also during that weekly time, take a few minutes to reflect on how this material should be applied to your life and circumstances. Take a half day at the end of the month and a weekend at the end of the year so that you've got it, so that it never disappears, to ensure that the past is even more valuable and will serve your future well.

5. Set goals.

Remember that your plan is the roadmap for how you are going to get to your goals, so you have to have them. Of all the things that changed my life for the better (and most quickly), it was learning how to set goals. Mastering this unique process can have a powerful effect on your life, too. I remember shortly after I met Mr. Shoaff, he asked me if I had a list of my goals, and of course I didn't. He suggested to me that because I lacked a set of clearly defined goals that he could guess my bank balance within a few hundred dollars... and he did! Well, Mr. Shoaff immediately began helping me define my view of the future, my dreams. He taught me to set goals because it is the greatest influence on a person's future and the greatest force that will pull a person in the direction that they want to go. The future must be planned, well designed to exert a force that pulls you toward the promise of what can be.

6. Act on your plan.

What separates the successful from the unsuccessful so many times is that the successful simply do it. They take action. They aren't necessarily smarter than others; they just work the plan. The time to act is when the emotion is strong. Here's what happens if you don’t: The Law of Diminishing Intent. We intend to act when the idea strikes us, when the emotion is high, but if we delay and we don't translate that into action fairly soon, the intention starts to diminish, diminish and a month from now it's cold and a year from now it can't be found. So set up the discipline when the idea is strong, clear and powerful—that's the time to work the plan. You must capture the emotion and put it into disciplined activities and translate it into equity. And here's what is interesting: All disciplines affect each other; everything affects everything. That's why the smallest action is important—because the value and benefits that you receive from that one little action will inspire you to do the next one and the next one... So step out and take action on your plan, because if the plan is good, then the results can be miraculous.

USA: Embattled Democrat Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli To 'Step Back' After Multiple Rape And Sexual Assault Allegations. He Is Not Resigning, And Maintains "Full Innocence Under The Law."

NBC Bay Area published April 12, 2021: Multiple women are accusing Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli of sexual assault. He denies the claims and refuses to step down. Thom Jensen reports.
KPIX CBS SF Bay Area published April 14, 2021: Windsor Council Demands Resignation Of Mayor Dominic Foppoli Amid Sexual Assault Investigation. Members of the Windsor City Council joined outraged community members in calling for Mayor Dominic Foppoli to resign as he faces sexual assault allegations from at least half a dozen women.

Following a San Francisco Chronicle investigation that revealed rape and sexual assault allegations from four women against Windsor Mayor Dominic Foppoli, the mayor announced today that he would “step back from an active role” — but not resign.

Despite near-unanimous demands from his colleagues in Windsor, multiple Sonoma County mayors, California state representatives and Windsor residents to resign — which were clearly on display during a notably tense Town Council meeting Wednesday that ended in his abrupt departure — Foppoli emphasized in his statement that he has no plans to resign despite an ongoing investigation by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office.

“Through prayer and in speaking with residents over the course of this week, it has become clear to me that the Town Council will not function at the level expected by its citizens if I remain actively involved, given the strong reaction to the allegations against me,” Foppoli said in a Friday statement to multiple news outlets.

The allegations laid out in the initial Chronicle investigation include groping, forced oral copulation and rape. Since its publication, two more women, including Windsor Town Councilmember Esther Lemus, have come forward with sexual assault allegations against the mayor. (SFGATE and the San Francisco Chronicle are both owned by Hearst but operate independently of one another.)

Shannon McCarthy told the Chronicle days after the initial report that she was sexually assaulted by Foppoli dozens of times over the course of a three-year relationship that began in 2001. His rise to political prominence in recent years, she said, eventually forced her to relocate out of the North Bay last year. (SFGATE does not typically identify victims of sexual assault. Three of the four women in the Chronicle's original reporting agreed to be identified, as did McCarthy.)

Lemus, who recused herself during Wednesday’s meeting, said she was allegedly sexually abused by Foppoli. Her allegations were made in response to claims by Foppoli that Lemus coerced him into a relationship.

"Though I maintain full innocence under the law, I have decided to step back from an active role as Mayor until the formal investigation is complete," Foppoli's statement continued. "I do not want my presence or participation to create a distraction or cause any additional hurt for our residents."

He confirmed that Windsor Vice Mayor Sam Salmon will serve as mayor in his temporary leave as the investigation into the allegations continues, though noted that he is available to “sign resolutions” and take part in meetings in order for the Town Council to fulfill quorum.

While his term concludes in December 2022, a recall campaign was announced Thursday. According to KGO, hundreds of residents have already signed in support of the recall. Tim Zahner, the executive director of the Sonoma Valley Visitors Bureau and the head of the recall effort, told SFGATE that his decision is not enough and that he must completely resign for "the good of the residents of the Town of Windsor."

Salmon also did not immediately respond to a request for comment from SFGATE, but told the Chronicle that Foppoli did not reveal his decision to “step back” to Salmon or Town Councilmember Debora Fudge prior to issuing the statement.

“Everyone has been hopeful and can’t comprehend why he is staying,” Salmon told the Chronicle Friday. “None of his reasons have made any sense.” Foppoli concluded his statement: “Thank you to everyone who continues to have faith in our political and judicial processes and in our wonderful Town."

USA: Former Mayor Of Sebastopol, California, A Progressive Democrat Who Voiced Support For Black Lives Matter Rioters And Defunding Police, Was Arrested For Multiple Felony Child Sex Crimes

KRON 4 published April 10, 2021: Former Sebastopol mayor arrested following alleged sexual assault of a minor. A former Bay Area mayor was arrested Saturday on suspicion of multiple sexual assaults, according to authorities.

The former mayor of Sebastopol, Cal., a progressive Democrat who voiced support for Black Lives Matter rioters and defunding police, was arrested Saturday morning over multiple felony child sex crimes.

Sebastopol Police booked 44-year-old Robert Emmanuel Jacob on 11 felony counts related to sexual assault crimes against a minor aged 14 or 15.

The charges against Jacob, who is openly gay and married as of 2019, include transportation of a child for lewd and lascivious acts, arranging a meeting for sexual purposes with a person believed to be underage, sexual penetration of a child under 16-years-old and harmful material sent with the intent to seduce a minor.

According to law enforcement, the child sex abuse may have begun in December 2019 and continued through March 2021.
Jacob served on Sebastopol’s city council from 2012–16. Jacob, a Democrat, was appointed mayor of the city in 2013. Sebastopol is about 55 miles north of San Francisco.

In addition to the former mayor’s accused sex crimes, he has posted frequently in support of violent extremism against police. In June 2020, he thanked Black Lives Matter rioters, glorifying the arrested as “warriors” part of the infantry on the front lines.
“Violence is what it takes to win wars,” Jacob, who also often criticized former President Donald Trump, wrote on Facebook during the riots last summer. “The police beat people daily and kill them regularly, but that’s acceptable.”

In another post the same month, Jacob advocated for defunding police. “Defunding is about re-funding,” he wrote on Facebook. “Defund the police to re-fund the resources we’ve been slashing for generations.” He also praised Minneapolis’ city council for promising to dismantle its police department.
A prominent cannabis advocate and longtime executive in the industry, Jacob is also the former president and CEO of San Francisco marijuana dispensary chain SPARC. Jacob was touted by cannabis activists as the first pundit from the medical marijuana market to become the mayor of an American city.

The New York Times profiled Jacob after his 2013 mayoral selection, noting that he outraised and outspent his rivals by running the most expensive campaign in Sebastopol’s history to win the city council race the year before.

The New York Times reported: “He moved with his family to the Central Valley, but uncomfortable in the area’s conservative culture because he was gay, he said, at 15 he decamped to San Francisco, where he first lived in a homeless shelter for youths.”
Jacob is being held at the Sonoma County Adult Detention Facility. Bail has since been set at $620,000. His next court hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

Sebastopol Police Chief Kevin Kilgore told SFGate that one victim, who remains unidentified due to the individual’s age, has come forward. However, the investigation remains ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the Sebastopol Police Department at 707-829-4400 and refer to report #21-0220.

USA: Famous Drag Beauty YouTuber With 25 Million Subscribers Announced He Is Taking Time Away From Social Media After It Was Revealed He Sent Underage Boys Sexually Explicit Messages.

BBC News, San Francisco
written by Cody Godwin
Friday April 2, 2021

Beauty YouTuber James Charles has admitted sending sexually explicit messages to two 16-year-old boys.

"I fully understand my actions and how they are wrong," the 21-year-old influencer said in a video posted to his YouTube channel on Thursday.

Allegations against Charles first emerged on social media earlier this year.

In February, the influencer - who has 25 million subscribers to his YouTube channel - was accused by one teenager of grooming, which Charles denied, saying he flirted with the person because he believed the boy to be 18.

Charles had denied previous accusations, but in Thursday's video, titled "Holding myself accountable", he admitted wrongdoing.

He says there were two incidents - one last year and one more recently - where he came to be aware that the person he was exchanging messages with was underage.

"These conversations should have never happened," Charles said in the 14-minute video. He admitted he could have searched for them on other social media platforms and found their real ages.

He also publicly apologised to the boys and said he would take time away from posting on social media to "educate" himself about these issues.

'I'm desperate'

The scandal is not the first time the beauty influencer has faced a controversy.

In 2019, he was accused of using "fame and money to try to manipulate someone's sexuality", which he denied.

When addressing why he has been "reckless" in past relationships, he said it's because he's "desperate".

In a video he made addressing the 2019 accusation, Charles made a promise to be more careful moving forward.

But as time progressed, he says in his most recent video, he began "ignoring red flags again".

He ended his video vowing to be more cautious in the future and stop treating his social media accounts as dating apps.

Accusations of YouTubers

Accusations - and admissions - of sexual misconduct by YouTubers have become more and more common.

In 2019, YouTube deleted singer Austin Jones's channel, after he admitted to exchanging sexually explicit images and videos with underage girls.

David Dobrik, one of YouTube's top earners in 2020, recently had his channel demonetised by YouTube following a rape allegation about a former associate.

Mr Dobrik has denied any wrongdoing.

USA: A Grand Jury Returned A 28-Count Indictment Against An Indiana BLM Leader For The Attempted Murder Of Police Using IEDs. He Is Accused Of Traveling To Portland To Riot Last Year.

The Post Millennial

Satuday April 10, 2021

A grand jury in Multnomah County, Ore. has indicted an Indianapolis man who allegedly traveled to Portland to try and kill police using firebombs at riots last year. Malik Fard Muhammed, 24, is facing 28 charges that includes first and second-degree attempted murder, attempted aggravated murder, unlawful manufacture of a destructive device and unlawful use of a weapon. But who is the Black Lives Matter leader and attempted murder suspect who has scrubbed his social media posts?

Those coming to Muhammed's defense may provide a clue.

One of the loudest defenders of Muhammed following his indictment is the Portland chapter of the Youth Liberation Front, an antifa group that organized months of violent, deadly rioting after George Floyd’s death. On Twitter, they’re discussing among their members and followers how best to help and fund Muhammed, who is currently held at the Marion County Jail in Indiana.

According to the affidavit, Muhammed "traveled to the Portland Metro Area for the specific purpose of engaging in the multiple criminal episodes and behavior that this case is based upon." Those criminal episodes include throwing homemade explosive devices at police, rioting and property destruction at antifa protests from September through October 2020.

Though previously unknown in the Pacific Northwest, Muhammed gained a reputation as a self-styled BLM leader in Indiana. Like other Antifa and BLM protesters charged with violent crimes, he’s ex-military, having served in the U.S. Army for a time before being discharged.

The criminal complaint provides clearer evidence of the links between BLM and Antifa that crystallized during the riots across American cities in 2020.

In June last year, he made headlines after embracing a police officer in front of cameras during a heated BLM march to Gov. Eric Holcomb's residence in Indianapolis that was halted by police. On June 4, 2020, he was invited to meet with the Republican governor inside his official residence for a private meeting.

"Historic journeys take historic first steps. Malik and I took one, together, today," read a statement at the time by Gov. Holcomb. Only days earlier, Muhammad had tried to lead an angry crowd to the governor's home while carrying riot gear.

Only a few months later, Muhammed and his girlfriend allegedly took steps to acquire and assemble deadly weapons for rioting in Portland. The criminal complaint says that Muhammed and his girlfriend, Kristen McGuire, went to a Goodwill store in Portland where they purchased large amounts of bats and yellow glass jugs. Yellow glass jugs were used in Molotov cocktails that were thrown at police.
McGuire, 23, of Indianapolis, has so far not been charged with any crimes but she is open about her extremist far-left views on her social media posts.

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, she wrote on Facebook: "[L]et us remember that MLK was a black radical communist, anti capitalist, anti imperialist revolutionary Christian who was killed as an enemy of the state by the US government. Anything else is a lie."

At least one of those jugs McGuire allegedly purchased with Muhammed was later filled with a flammable chemical and stuffed with a rag before being lit and thrown at officers at a riot in southeast Portland on Sept. 21. The bottle extinguished before exploding and was a key source of evidence. Two days later, a homemade explosive made with a similar yellow glass jug was hurled—and exploded—at police outside the Justice Center by a suspect accused of being Muhammed. Then on Oct. 11, Muhammed allegedly returned to downtown Portland to participate in a BLM-Antifa "Day of Rage" event where rioters tore down statues of Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt, looted a museum, attacked a campus police office at Portland State University and vandalized numerous businesses using weapons. The Heroes American Cafe, a business put on an Antifa hit-list on social media, was also shot at with several rounds from a gun.

According to the affidavit, plain-clothes FBI agents observed a suspect they say is Muhammed using a metal baton to smash out windows at multiple buildings. He was arrested later that night after fleeing on foot from police. Upon arrest, he was found carrying a loaded pistol magazine. Portland Police recovered a matching handgun that had been discarded nearby. The pistol and magazine contained 30 bullets.
Muhammed was charged at the time with unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm in public, six counts of felony first-degree criminal mischief and felony riot. He was bailed out quickly. Those charges were all dismissed before the case was reinstated after he was identified as the suspect who threw molotov cocktails at police following investigative assistance from the FBI and the ATF over a period of six months.

Muhammed was arrested last week without incident in Indiana. He is booked at Marion County Jail and is awaiting extradition to Oregon.

Muhammad has been indicted on the following crimes:
  • Attempted aggravated murder (two counts);
  • attempted assault in the first degree (two counts);
  • attempted murder in the first degree (four counts);
  • attempted murder in the second degree (two counts);
  • criminal mischief in the first degree (six counts);
  • riot (four counts);
  • unlawful manufacture of a destructive device (two counts);
  • unlawful possession of a destructive device (two counts);
  • unlawful possession of a firearm (one count);
  • unlawful possession of a loaded firearm (one count);
  • unlawful use of a weapon (two counts)
If convicted, Muhammed is facing at least 10 mandatory years in prison.

USA: ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME. Disturbing Racist Graffiti Found In Albion College Michigan. White Supremacist Racist Messages Went Viral Sparking Days Of Protect. Black Student Confessed.

The Post Millennial.

Thursday April 8, 2021

Officials have declared that racist graffiti found in Albion College was done by a black student, according to Michigan Live.

On April 5, Albion College students tweeted that "there have been more than 12 racist incidents within the past week" at the educational institution.
This graffiti, which included messages such as "white lives matter" and "white power," turned out to have been allegedly created by a 21-year-old black male.

This person also is said to have written such messages as "666" on top of a Star of David, alongside "let's kill all N*****."

The Albion police brought said male into questioning, where he admitted to doing most of the graffiti. This student was released after questioning. It is unclear whether any charges will be brought against this student.

Images of the racist graffiti quickly went viral across social media platforms, with one local outlet posting the story accompanied with pictures that they censored "due to it being so offensive."
College officials have stated on Twitter that the student had been acting alone. As a result of this incident, the student has been suspended by the college and removed from their property pending an investigation.

The college didn't address the nature of this incident directly on Twitter, instead saying that they "know the acts of racism that have occurred this week are not about one particular person or one particular incident. We know that there is a significant history of racial pain and trauma on campus and we are taking action to repair our community.”
Some Albion College students even went so far as to boycott classes.

"We will change and heal together as a community, because we are committed to doing the work," they added.

USA: ANOTHER FAKE HATE CRIME. Racist Messages Telling Blacks To Die Were Sent To Black Students At White Bear Lake High School In Minnesota Revealed To Be A Hoax By A Black Student.

KARE 11 published April 9, 2021: White Bear Lake HS students staged a walkout after some of their classmates faced racist and threatening messages on social media.
Commie funded BLM and Progressive Democrats have to keep stoking the racial flames of division. That's why they make this shit up. This is a form of mental illness. I'm not saying racism doesn't exist. It does. It's part of the human condition. Hate and racism are cousins. People of every race are guilty of feeling racist aka hatred towards another race in some way, shape, or form. (emphasis mine)

Threatening and racist social media posts targeting students of colour in a Minnesota school district were revealed to be a hoax, KSTP reports.

Superintendent of White Beak Lake Area Schools Wayne Kazmierczak said that a student confessed to sending messages on a fake Instagram account they created.

Kazmierczak assured that the student sending the messages "posed no threat to our student of color."

Messages from the student led to White Bear Lake High School South Campus students walking out in protest.

"This is something we're used to handling, so most of us handle it well, but we're tired. We're done. This is it. This is our last straw," said senior Ashanti Cox in reference to the racist messages sent to a group chat she was added to.

Shocking messages were sent to the group by the anonymous user, including messages warning students to "watch their back" and to "get hanged. Die. Kill yourself," KSTP reported.

"I'm still in shock. I know racism is still a thing, but I didn't know people would take it to this extent. This is way too far. This is honestly just ridiculous. I feel hurt, I'm irritated, I'm angry, I'm uneasy. I just want to cry. I want to scream," Senior Jessica Kabwe said, who was also added to the chat.

A statement was given by Kazmierczak in response to the messages at a school board meeting Monday night, touching on the "great pain" the messages had caused students.

"In recent days our students, staff and community have been working through strong emotions brought forth by racist, hateful and threatening messages that were sent anonymously to several of our students of color. Our students have felt anger and disgust, and they have taken action in the face of the injustice against their fellow students. At the onset, we are committed to disrupting racism and systemic racism. Hate has no place in our schools or community," said Kazmierczak.

"Over the last week, we have worked with the FBI and local law enforcement, who investigated the racist, hateful, and threatening messages that were sent to several of our students of color from an anonymous Instagram account. The messages have caused great pain to our students and caused a material and substantial disruption in our school,"

He said that although the motive behind the student's actions is unknown, the use of hateful language is unacceptable in any case.

"This afternoon, a young person took responsibility for posting hateful messages on social media. While we are working to learn more about the motives behind this action, we understand that race is at the center of this incident and any use of hateful language against another student is unacceptable and won't be tolerated. Our anger around racist acts and bullying remain critical to our work as parents, educators and community," he continues.

Kazmierczak assured that the school would continue to support students and the community in their work towards recital equity and inclusion.

"We are united in supporting our students in speaking against racism and in support of our students of color over these past few days and will continue to work toward ensuring that White Bear Lake Area Schools is a community that advances racial equity and inclusion," Kazmierczak added. "We know from listening to our students that our continued and sustained commitment to educational equity is a critical part of how we achieve our stated district mission and close gaps that currently exist in our student outcome measures."

NEW YORK — A Connecticut man was taken into custody Saturday after allegedly hurling bleach in an NYPD officer’s face and throwing a lit Molotov cocktail at others.

It happened around 8 a.m. in Brooklyn.

The incident started early Saturday morning when police pulled over a 44-year-old man for running a red light in the area of Claredon Road and East 45th Street in East Flatbush.

That’s when police say the man threw bleach in the face of the officer before speeding off.

A few minutes later, not far away, other officers stopped the vehicle near the corner of 54th Street and Snyder Avenue. The suspect then allegedly threw a lit Molotov cocktail at them.

The bottle bounced off the NYPD car and broke when it hit the street.

The suspect again sped off, only to crash. He was then arrested.

At that time, officers discovered three additional Molotov cocktails in his vehicle.

The suspect has been identified as Lionel Virgile, of Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Many in the neighborhood say they are disturbed by the attacks.

“I think it’s very sad. Police officers are here to protect us and to keep us safe,” one person told CBS2’s Kiran Dhillon.

“I don’t like that. I don’t like violence,” another person said.

“This is insane. I never heard nothing from this,” one woman said. “We’ve been living over here since the ’90s, and it’s never been nothing this insane … If I was doing the same job, I should not be put in danger at all. No, absolutely not.”

“No matter what, every officer is an individual and that particular instance, that is an individual and he was just doing a traffic stop, so in that specific instance, no, that should not have transpired,” another woman said.

NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea responded to the incident on Twitter, saying in part, “This is another reminder of how quickly a situation can change [and] the dangers your cops face every day while they’re protecting [New Yorkers].”

Retired NYPD sergeant Johnny Nunez agrees.

“The political rhetoric going around, I think it’s a dangerous thing that’s happening right now,” he said. “You’re talking about a Molotov cocktail, talking about a liquid, possible chemical that could disfigure someone.”

The officer who had the chemical thrown in his face was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries to his face and blurred vision.

No other officers were hurt during this incident.

Charges against Virgile are pending.

USA: Spokane Doctor Charged In Dark Web Kidnapping Plot Accused Of Forcing Woman Into 'Sex Slavery' She Was Held In A Concrete Storage Tank Underground For Hours Without An Escape

She was held in a concrete storage tank underground for hours without an escape, the FBI said.

SPOKANE, Wash. -- What started as a polyamorous relationship has ended with an influential Spokane doctor arrested for a kidnapping plot. Ronald Ilg's federal court hearing revealed new details in his plan to have his estranged wife assaulted, drugged and extorted.

Ilg appeared in court Wednesday afternoon in a preliminary and detention hearing. He is charged with attempted kidnapping after the FBI was tipped off about the plot by the woman.

FBI special agent and key witness Ryan Butler testified in the suspect's hearing, that the wife was informed of the plot by the crew of an unnamed international news organization investigating the dark web.

Court documents show the victim married the suspect in 2016. Two years later, Ilg met a woman on the internet and invited her into their marriage, she told investigators.

The wife became increasingly uncomfortable with the relationship, she told agents. They explained that she and Ilg are currently involved in messy divorce, and they split custody of their young child.

Ilg wanted to take a trip to Mexico with his girlfriend while the kidnapping of his wife was supposed to take place, Butler added.

According to text messages, his girlfriend found out about Ilg's dark web plot in February and begs him to stop contacting her.

In a text exchange, Ilg, in her phone under the name 'Sir,' denies the allegations.

"[L]eave me alone [I]'m scared of you" the girlfriend texted. "[P]lease don't hire someone to hurt me or my family[.]"

"Um, that stuff is all fake," Ilg allegedly texted regarding the dark web. "And I've known it is all fake."

"You hired someone to hurt [WIFE] from the dark web using bitcoin[,] stop now," the girlfriend responded. "Leave me alone forever [I]'m scared of you."

The couple continued their relationship and went to Mexico in April, Butler said. While there, the FBI said the girlfriend found Ilg's burner phone that he used to contact people on the dark web. According to court documents, she threw his phone into the hotel pool because she thought he had the phone so he could talk to other women.

A fight ensued, according to the girlfriend. Butler confirmed the woman took audio recordings of Ilg allegedly assaulting her. Butler said in the tapes, he can hear her beg him to stop hurting her, then she struggles to breathe for several minutes.

Here's where things get even more bizarre.

The girlfriend told the FBI that Ilg forced her to sign a sex slave contract. The document was shown in court. In it, a "slave" signs her rights away and "unconditionally accepts anything the master chooses to do with the slave."

Butler said after the fight where the girlfriend took an audio recording, Ilg pricked her finger and forced her to sign the master/slave contract with her blood. The document also shows Ilg signed the contract in his blood.

Included in that contract, an agreement that the ”slave agrees to any any punishment, whether it was earned or not." The FBI said one of the punishments was to put her in one of two concrete holes in his Spokane yard.

Agents described the holes as storage tanks underground, and that a ladder was needed to get in and out of. The holes were shown in court and they were giant tubes in the ground. The victim told investigators Ilg would keep her down there for hours with no escape.

The defense say that Ilg and the girlfriend were just partaking in consensual BDSM, short for bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadism and masochism. This is a sexual power-role-playing activity.

Another woman, who was hired to care for Ilg's kids, gave the FBI texts that the suspect sent to her regarding a "kidnapping sexual fantasy."

"It would depend on what I decide the scenario would be and your comfort level. As an example, if it was a kidnapping scenario. Something many women fear and yet sorta fantasize about. [WIFE] wouldn't be able to see (and it's almost impossible for her to know it's not me) but if someone was opening doors for me as I lead her outside and into a car, it would add a significant amount of intrigue and uncertainty," Ilg allegedly texted her.

The defense said having different sexual fantasies is not illegal, and that sex slave contracts are not uncommon. The prosecution argued that if the girlfriend said she was forced to sign this contract, it was an act of control and nonconsensual.

Ilg's estranged wife and his girlfriend maintained contact with each other regarding Ilg throughout the relationship, according to Butler. He said after Ilg assaulted his girlfriend in Mexico, she learned more information about plots against numerous women in Ilg's life. Court documents show the girlfriend reached out to his wife.

“Some strange stuff has happened while we have been here,” the girlfriend texted. “I need to talk to you asap when we get back."

According to the FBI, the couple was stopped at the Spokane International Airport on their way back from the trip. Ilg admitted to using the dark web to hire a hitman and said he used the moniker 'Scar2something.'

Court documents show Ilg said the hitman was actually for him, as a way to commit suicide so his assets are transferred to his girlfriend and not his estranged wife. However, the prosecution provided a screenshot in court of the dark web site that Ilg allegedly used. The site stated specifically that they will not and do not ever do suicides. The site explained that buyers only pay the hitmen when the job is finished, so "suiciders" can’t pay.

The prosecution argued that Ilg craves power and control over women, thus his planned assaults on his wife and former employee, plus his slave document for his girlfriend and his messages towards the woman watching his children. In the courtroom, one of Ilg’s ex wives asked to be a witness for the defense.

In light of these details that were not in the probable cause affidavit, the judge agreed that there needs to be more investigation into the Master-Slave relationship to see if it is consensual or not. That aspect of the case will not be considered until more information is learned.

His attorney Carl Oreskovich told KREM 2's Morgan Trau they are confident that they will be able to prove their client has mental health issues and should be in a psychiatric facility instead of in custody and there is no definite proof that Scar215 is actually Ilg. The prosecution had a passionate response urging the suspect is a major flight risk due to him being dangerous, his money and his intelligence.

Ilg is still being held at the Spokane County Jail, even after his attorney said they were confident they would return to court Thursday morning to move him to a psychiatric hospital. Thursday evening, the attorney's office said they didn't go to court. Ilg's next court appearance is scheduled for May 5 at 1:30 p.m.
