I personally took this picture above same day in 2009! ♥
It's tradition for me and my mom to celebrate my birthday together at Disneyland every year. The picture above of us two was taken 3 years ago. We are in front of Disneyland's Frontierland Rivers of America. You can see Mark Twain's Riverboat and the raft that takes you to Tom Sawyer Island in the background. And it was great to see Davy Crockett's Explorer Canoes out and about that day. Oh and I finally talked my mom into wearing Mickey ears! First time ever. That was a BIG DEAL lol ;)
I'm Too Excited To Sleep... LOL!!! ;)

An Exuberant Declaration of Faith
[source: Biblegateway]
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.
4 One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
9 Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.
11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
14 Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Steps To Happiness... ♥
poem written by Father Pat
Then:
Everybody Knows:
You can't be all things to all people.
You can't do all things at once.
You can't do all things equally well.
You can't do all things better than everyone else.
Your humanity is showing just like everyone else's.
So:
You have to find out who you are, and be that.
You have to decide what comes first, and do that.
You have to discover your strengths, and use them.
You have to learn not to compete with others,
Because no one else is in the contest of *being you*.
Then:
You will have learned to accept your own uniqueness.
You will have learned to set priorities and make decisions.
You will have learned to live with your limitations.
You will have learned to give yourself the respect that is due.
And you'll be a most vital mortal.
Dare To Believe:
That you are a wonderful, unique person.
That you are a once-in-all-history event.
That it's more than a right, it's your duty, to be who you are.
That life is not a problem to solve, but a gift to cherish.
And we'll be able to stay one up on what used to get us.
May God Bless you and keep you safe.
15 Awesome Quotes by Charles H. Spurgeon ♥
Charles Haddon Spurgeon (19 June 1834 – 31 January 1892) was a large British Particular Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers". He was a strong figure in the Reformed Baptist tradition, defending the Church in agreement with the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith understanding, and opposing the liberal and pragmatic theological tendencies in the Church of his day.
On June 5, 1862, Spurgeon challenged the Church of England when he preached against baptismal regeneration. However, Spurgeon taught across denominational lines as well. It was during this period at the new Tabernacle that Spurgeon found a friend in James Hudson Taylor, the founder of the inter-denominational China Inland Mission. Spurgeon supported the work of the mission financially and directed many missionary candidates to apply for service with Taylor. He also aided in the work of cross-cultural evangelism by promoting "The Wordless Book", a teaching tool that he described in a message given on January 11, 1866, regarding Psalm 51:7: "Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." The book has been and is still used to teach illiterate people and people of other cultures and languages – young and old – around the globe about the Gospel message.
Following the example of George Mรผller, Spurgeon founded the Stockwell Orphanage, which opened for boys in 1867 and for girls in 1879, and which continued in London until it was bombed in the Second World War. The orphanage became Spurgeon's Child Care which still exists today. On the death of missionary David Livingstone in 1873, a discolored and much-used copy of one of Spurgeon's printed sermons, "Accidents, Not Punishments," was found among his few possessions much later, along with the handwritten comment at the top of the first page: "Very good, D.L." He had carried it with him throughout his travels in Africa. It was returned to Spurgeon and treasured by him. [source: wikipedia]

7 Things God Wants For Your Life
[source: The Total Man]
1. God wants you to have a bright future
God doesn’t want you to hold onto the past but rather He wants you to move forward in your future. Your human nature will make you focus on all your shortcomings and mistakes. But God’s will is that you would forget your mess-ups and push forward to what He has in store for your future. Even if your life was a real mess right now that doesn’t really matter. What’s important is not so much how you started but rather how you finish the race. “…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead” Phil 3:13
2. God wants generations to be positively affected through you
There are purposes that your parents may have missed in their life and God has graciously passed them onto you so that the blessings contained in those purposes would work for you. “The counsel of the Lord stands forever. The plans of His heart to all generations.” Psalm 33:11 There are even gifts that God passes down through generations that can work for you “I call to remembrance the genuine faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother” 2 Tim 1:5
3. God wants you to know and understand Him
God doesn’t just want you to wonder about Him. He wants you to know and understand Him. “…let him who glories glory in this, That he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the LORD.” Jeremiah 9:24 The more you get to know God, the more you will put your trust in Him. You get to know God by seeking Him in prayer and action and putting His word and commands to the test.
4. God wants you to live life to the full
Jesus came so that you could live a life free from shame and regret and walk empowered by His wisdom, principles and God’s Spirit. “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 It’s almost a really simple equation if not for the deception of Satan. Listen to Jesus and everything will be ok! God wants us to enjoy life. “…who gives us richly all things to enjoy.” 1 Timothy 6:17
5. God wants you to know that He is on your side
When you genuinely go to God for assistance and help He will truly be on your side to help. “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 6:14 The Father is a God of love and mercy and would much rather pour His grace on your life rather than get angry. God is a patient, loving, caring and compassionate God. He wants the best for you and is daily trying to get your attention through creation, through people and in circumstances. ”The heavens declare the glory of God. The skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.” Psalm 19:1-2
6. God wants you to have a future of peace and prosperity
God’s thoughts towards you are that of peace and not of evil. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11 When God gives you instructions and commands for your life it’s not to hurt you but to prosper you. Always ask yourself “This thing I believe God wants from me, what could be the possibilities for the future?”
7. God wants your body and mind to be in good health
Does God want you to be in good health and have a sound mind? You bet He does. He also wants you to prosper in ALL things. That means your endeavours in life and your relationships. That includes your finances and your career. God loves you. “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”3 John 1-2

What Is Zion? What Is Mount Zion? What Is The Biblical / Torah Meaning Of Zion? So When You Hear Islamists, Marxists And Atheists Say They Hate Zionists You Know Why.
Please note that Mohammad was born in Mecca (which is now called Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) in the year 570 AD. Mohammad and his tribe migrated to this area (after slaughtering everyone who would not submit to him) in 622 AD. Mohammad rewrote the contents of the Bible after having it translated and created Islam and the Koran. Islam specifically built the humongous in your face Al-Asqa mosque in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah because Mohammad teaches in the Koran that allah told Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael (NOT Isaac as the Torah and Bible teaches) on Mount Moriah. Abraham obeyed and allah let him slice Ishmael's throat and let him kill his son. Then Mohammad goes on to teach that because of Abraham's obedience, allah brought his son Ishmael back to life. Mohammad totally rewrote the Jewish Torah which is the first half of the Christian Bible that was written 1,000's of YEARS BEFORE Mohammad was even born on this planet and 1,000's of YEARS BEFORE the bloody cult of Islam ever existed.
Long before Mohammad reached this area, Mount Moriah is a holy site for both Jews and Christians. According to 2 Chronicles 3:1, King Solomon built the house of Yahweh (God almighty) called the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah where David appeared to King David his father. Around 1,700 YEARS BEFORE Islam ever existed. We have documented archaeological finds that PROVE THIS. This is why Islam destroys everything in its path so they can continue the lie. Jesus Christ was crucified in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah more than 600 YEARS before Islam ever existed and more than 500 YEARS before Mohammad was ever born.
What is Zion? What is Mount Zion? What is the biblical meaning of Zion?
[source: GotQuestions.org]
Question: "What is Zion? What is Mount Zion? What is the biblical meaning of Zion?"
"For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of Mount Zion survivors. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts shall perform this." (Isaiah 37:42)
Answer: Psalm 87:2–3 says, “The Lord loves the gates of Zion / more than all the other dwellings of Jacob. / Glorious things are said of you, / city of God.” According to this verse, Zion is synonymous with city of God, and it is a place that God loves. Zion is Jerusalem. Mount Zion is the high hill on which David built a citadel. It is on the southeast side of the city.
The word Zion occurs over 150 times in the Bible. It essentially means “fortification” and has the idea of being “raised up” as a “monument.” Zion is described both as the city of David and the city of God. As the Bible progresses, the word Zion expands in scope and takes on an additional, spiritual meaning.
The first mention of Zion in the Bible is 2 Samuel 5:7: “David captured the fortress of Zion—which is the City of David.” Zion was originally an ancient Jebusite fortress in the city of Jerusalem. After David’s conquest of the fortress, Jerusalem became a possession of Israel. The royal palace was built there, and Zion/Jerusalem became the seat of power in Israel’s kingdom..
When Solomon built the temple in Jerusalem, the meaning of Zion expanded further to include the temple area (Psalm 2:6; 48:2, 11–12; 132:13). This is the meaning found in the prophecy of Jeremiah 31:6, “Come, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God.” In the Old Testament Zion is used as a name for the city of Jerusalem (Isaiah 40:9), the land of Judah (Jeremiah 31:12), and the nation of Israel as a whole (Zechariah 9:13).
The word Zion is also used in a theological or spiritual sense in Scripture. In the Old Testament Zion refers figuratively to Israel as the people of God (Isaiah 60:14). In the New Testament, Zion refers to God’s spiritual kingdom. We have not come to Mount Sinai, says the apostle, but “to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem” (Hebrews 12:22). Peter, quoting Isaiah 28:16, refers to Christ as the Cornerstone of Zion: “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame” (1 Peter 2:6).
Mount Zion as a geographical area is currently the center of much dispute. The Bible is clear that, one day, Zion will be the sole possession of the Lord Jesus, and Zion—the nation and the city—will be restored. “Awake, awake, / Clothe yourself in your strength, O Zion; / Clothe yourself in your beautiful garments, / O Jerusalem, the holy city; / For the uncircumcised and the unclean / Will no longer come into you” (Isaiah 52:1). And “the children of your oppressors will come bowing before you; / all who despise you will bow down at your feet / and will call you the City of the LORD, / Zion of the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 60:14).

What does the word Zion mean according to the Bible? What is “Mount Zion” in particular talking about?
The Word Zion
The “Zion” itself simple means “fortification” like a citadel but it’s also another name that is used for Jerusalem or the City of David and is associated with God and is sometimes referred to as “the City of God.” The word Zion has a broad spectrum of meaning that is greater than any one single entity or identity because Zion was also known as the seat of power for the kingdom of Israel but also for the Kingdom of God. We know that it is a place that God loves and cares deeply about because the city is also associated with God’s chosen people, Israel. Zion is used interchangeably with Jerusalem in many Scriptures like in Isaiah 52:1-2 so any time you see the word Zion used it is referring to Jerusalem, the City of God, the City of David, the people or nation of Israel or the people of God and sometimes typifies God’s place of rule or where His presence resides like in Jeremiah 31:6 where he writes “Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.”
Mount Zion’s Meaning
The word “mount” is simply a shortened meaning of mountain and mountains often refer to governments or nations but often is referred to in Scripture as “the mountain of the Lord, to the Rock of Israel” (Isaiah 30:29b). In the case of Mount Zion it is representative of the Kingdom of God where we read in Hebrews 12:22 that “you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering.” That is where it is said “the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all” (Heb 12:23) will be at and it looks ahead to the New Jerusalem that will descend out of heaven (Rev 21:10-26).
The Chief Cornerstone
When Jesus came to do His earthly ministry it was said “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offense; and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame” (Rom 9:33) and that “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob” (Rom 11:26) and “the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself” (Eph 2:20). The word Deliverer is capitalized and as such, is a proper noun; another name for Jesus Christ Who was a cause of many to stumble and offended many (“a rock of offense”) but for others who “believe in him [they] will not be put to shame” because they have trusted in the only name by which they must be saved (Acts 4:12) for He is “a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation; the one who relies on it will never be stricken with panic” (Isaiah 28:16). As was prophesied hundreds of years ago this Cornerstone came “From Judah” (Zech 10:4). Unfortunately, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone” (Psalm 118:22; 20:17) and they didn’t recognize Him. Peter did recognize Him and wrote “See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame” (1st Pet 2:6).
The Seat of the Universal Kingdom
If you read much of Revelation 21 you’ll discover that the New Jerusalem will descend out of heaven and that is the central place where God will rule out of. It’s not so much that we go to heaven but heaven comes down to earth and besides, heaven is any place where the presence of God is. Heaven is not so much a place as it is a Person and that Person is Jesus Christ. In the Apostle John’s vision in Revelation 14:1 he writes “Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads.” By Jesus standing on Mount Zion we understand that He stands above and rules over Mount Zion, the Kingdom of God and that is where John “saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day—and there will be no night there. They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations” (Rev 21:22-26)
“Saudi Cleric Mamdouh Al-Harbi:
MEMRI tv, July 26, 2017:
In a lecture titled “Who Will Liberate Al-Aqsa,” Saudi cleric Sheikh Mamdouh Al-Harbi said that the Muslims’ war is with the Jews and not just with Zionists and that saying otherwise “constitutes a denial of the words of Allah and of the Prophet Muhammad.” The lecture was posted on Al-Harbi’s YouTube channel on July 26.
Sheikh Mamdouh Al-Harbi: “The Prophet Muhammad foretold that we would kill the Jews. He foretold that we would kill the Jews. Let nobody claim [that the Prophet talked] about us killing the Zionists. Anyone who claims that our war is with the Zionists rather than the Jews is mistaken. This constitutes a denial of the words of Allah and of the Prophet Muhammad. Our war is with the Jews, not [just] with the Zionists, even though the Zionists are among the most dangerous kind of Jews. But the war is with the Jews. What Allah said in the Quran, and what the Prophet Muhammad said in the true Sunna… The Prophet did not say: ‘the Zionists.’ He said: ‘the Jews’ – even though the Zionists are among the worst of them. So I say: Our war on Judgement Day will be with the Jews.
[…]
“The Prophet Muhammad said: ‘Judgment Day will not come until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Muslims will kill them, and the Jews will hide behind stones and trees.’
[…]
“‘The stones and trees will say: “Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah…”‘ Pay attention now: ‘”Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him.”‘ The Prophet said: ‘Except for the Gharqad tree, which is the tree of the Jews.’ The Gharqad tree is an ugly tree, full of thorns. That tree will not speak because it is with the Jews.”
Palestine was a temp name created by the British that only lasted for 9 months. Then Britain divided land for Israel, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq. Israel is a legit sovereign nation as are other nations listed above.— GlobalAwareness101 (@Mononoke__Hime) November 17, 2017
The so-called "Palestinians" are Islamist refugees who fled Israel after it became an official nation again and when all surrounding Islamic nations waged war against Israel wanting to wipe out all of the Jews. When little Israel survived the war and won, the so called "Palestinians" returned to the nation of Israel as Islamist refugees and Israel allowed them to RETURN. They left knowing Islam was going to start bombing the crap out of Israel from all sides and these refugees were shocked and dismayed Israel survived. And ever since their return, these so-called "Palestinians" have been acting like victims of the Jews and DEMANDING Statehood. Israel even gave up territory to these Islamist refugees in the past FOR PEACE and it's never enough. Islam does not want the Jewish people to exist at all. ISRAEL IS THE ONLY DEMOCRATIC NATION IN THAT ENTIRE REGION. Israel should never have given up any territory and neither should Myanmar who is going through much of the same nightmare with the Rohingya Islamist refugees.

When Essence recently presented “Woke 100 Women,” three of the leading organizers of the Women’s March — Tamika Mallory, Linda Sarsour and Carmen Perez — were among the “socially conscious change makers” featured by the magazine. The three also appear in a related short clip explaining what “woke” means. For Tamika Mallory, being woke “is like eyes wide open; everything is clear; you can always see things other people … just ignore;” for Linda Sarsour, it means “being outraged all the time … about injustice,” while Carmen Perez defines it as “being uncomfortable all the time” and speaking “on behalf of those that can’t speak up for themselves.”
But apparently, being woke can also mean just ignoring things other people see, and not feeling outraged or uncomfortable when there is a chance to schmooze with Louis Farrakhan. According to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), Farrakhan “has espoused anti-Semitism and racism for over 30 years as NOI [Nation of Islam] leader,” and he reaffirmed “his status as the leading anti-Semite in America” in 2015, when he “devoted a large portion of his annual address to followers in Chicago to the anti-Semitic myth that Jews were responsible for the 9/11 terrorist attacks.” The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) offers a similarly unequivocal condemnation, denouncing “the deeply racist, anti-Semitic and anti-gay rhetoric” of Farrakhan and other NOI leaders, whose conduct “earned the NOI a prominent position in the ranks of organized hate.”
Just three months after Farrakhan expounded his antisemitic conspiracy theories about the 9/11 attacks, Mallory and Perez were holding hands with him, posing for a photo during an “unforgettable special evening in Chicago with The Minister Farrakhan!”
[…]
The ADL reported that Farrakhan repeatedly “expressed anti-Semitism and bigotry” at subsequent events promoting the anniversary rally under the slogan #JusticeOrElse! Mallory apparently attended one of these events; according to media reports, Farrakhan threatened on this occasion: “If the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us, stalk them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.” He justified his call to violence by telling his audience that according to the Qur’an, “Retaliation is a prescription from God to calm the breasts of those whose children have been slain.”
In an interview in the summer of 2016, Perez explained how she, along with Mallory and Sarsour, had become involved with Farrakhan in 2015. According to her, “Tamika Mallory, my African-American sister, Linda Sarsour, my Palestinian sister and myself, a Chicana/Mexican-American woman” had attracted national media coverage with their activism, which prompted Farrakhan to invite them to participate in his #JusticeOrElse rally. Perez saw this as a chance “to use his platform to send a message to our generation.”
The strident message Sarsour delivered from the platform provided to her by Farrakhan proved very popular. Ummah Wide, a website for Muslims that had already published some contributions by Sarsour, posted a clip of her address on their Facebook page, where it garnered 162,000 views. The three-minute clip shows Sarsour opening her talk “in the name of god, the most beneficial, the most merciful,” addressing the crowd repeatedly as “sisters and brothers.” Anyone familiar with Farrakhan’s antisemitic efforts to blame Jews for problems and hardships experienced by blacks in the US could hear a similar message from Sarsour, who asserted: “The same people who justify the massacres of Palestinian people and call it collateral damage are the same people who justify the murder of young black men and women.” In yet another echo of Farrakhan’s rhetoric, Sarsour assured her “sisters and brothers” that the “common enemy … is white supremacy;” she also insisted that “the liberation of the Palestinian people is bound up with the liberation of Black people in America.”
Sarsour shared the stage with the controversial pastor Jeremiah Wright, who used his address at the Farrakhan rally to denounce Israel as an apartheid state and to assert that “Jesus was a Palestinian.” When Wright was in the spotlight as Obama’s longtime pastor before the 2008 elections, Obama repudiated him and described his views on America and the US-Israeli relationship “as fundamentally ‘distorted;’” Obama also emphasized his “very clear … denunciation of Minister Farrakhan’s anti-Semitic comments” and rejected Farrakhan’s endorsement.

The Real Treasure... ♥ This Is So BEAUTIFULLY Expressed
[source: Osho International]
Don't waste your life for that which is going to be taken away. Trust life. If you trust, only then can you drop your knowledge, only then can you put your mind aside. And with trust, something immense opens up. Then this life is no longer ordinary life, it becomes full of God (Love), overflowing. When the heart is innocent and the walls have disappeared, you are bridged with infinity. And you are not deceived; there is nothing that can be taken away from you. That which can be taken away from you is not worth keeping, and that which cannot be taken away from you... why should one be afraid of its being taken away? It cannot be taken away, there is no possibility. You cannot lose your REAL TREASURE. ~ Osho
Let Your Life Become A Celebration! ๐
[source: Osho International]
Life has the potential to become a song of bliss, but there is every possibility of missing it too. It is not a certainty, there is no inevitability about it. It depends: you can make it, you can destroy it. Out of one hundred, ninety-nine point nine percent of people destroy their song of bliss. Then their life is nothing but a cry, a scream of pain and agony. But they have chosen it that way; nobody else is ever responsible.
This is the first truth to be learned in life: that you are always responsible, nobody else. With that comes great FREEDOM, because with that all alternatives are open. If you think that somebody else is responsible then you are a slave; then nothing is open. Then you have to be what you are. If your life is a tragedy then it has to be a tragedy, because others are responsible; unless they change, nothing can be done about it. You don’t have any freedom.
And that is the reason why millions of people live in misery: they think others are creating their misery. Nobody is creating your misery, nobody can create it; and nobody can create your bliss either. It is a totally individual phenomenon. It is just your work upon yourself. And the most strange thing is: to create misery is difficult and to create bliss is easy, but people always choose the difficult thing, because the difficult thing always gives them an ego-trip.
The ego is not interested in easy things; the ego is interested only in difficult things. The more impossible a thing looks, the more attractive it feels for the ego, because the ego feels a challenge, and only through challenge can it conquer, can it prove to the world ’I am somebody special.’
Misery gives you challenge: bliss is very simple. Trees are blissful, birds are blissful. It needs no special talent to be blissful. To be miserable needs talents, one has to be really very very clever to be miserable. Bliss is innocent; you can be blissful without any education, but you cannot be miserable without any education, remember! It is very difficult. You need degrees, universities, mm? then only do you become skilful.
So the first TRUTH has to sink deep in the heart: "I am always responsible for whatsoever I am. Bliss or misery, this is my choice. If I have chosen to be miserable, then there is no need to be sad about it; this is my choice and I am doing my thing." Feel happy that you have succeeded in being miserable! If this is not your choice, drop it immediately, drop all those patterns that create it and start creating new patterns, new doors from where bliss starts flowing.
For example, the person who wants to be miserable has to think in terms of fighting with life; that is his gestalt. He is always fighting. The person who wants to be blissful has to be a non-fighter, surrendered to life, in a kind of let-go. The person who wants to be miserable has to create great ideals, has to make impossible demands upon himself. Then only can you be miserable; otherwise you will not be miserable. You have to be this, you have to be that, and when you cannot be, frustration settles in. The man who wants to be blissful has no ideals at all, he is a non-idealist; he is a REALIST. The miserable person is always an idealist. The happy person, the blissful person, is a REALIST: he lives moment to moment with no ideals. You cannot frustrate him because he has no expectations.
The miserable person always condemns himself because he is not rising high enough to fulfil the demands. He is a constant condemnor; he lives in self-condemnation.
The blissful person is very accepting of himself. He makes no demands. He is relaxed, at ease with himself; he loves himself as he is. So you have to watch: that which creates misery, drop; and that which brings bliss like a flood, create that space in you. And my whole effort here is to make each of my sannyasins a song of bliss: not miserable saints, not long faces, but celebrants! I am interested in celebrants, not in saints at all.
The Value Of One Life ((( ♥ ))) I Love This Message. I Would Do The Same. Would You?
Sorry, I just realized that the message in the picture is hard to read after I posted it. I have typed the message below for your reading pleasure. :)
Walking along a beach, a mother saw her daughter picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. She asked the girl why she was doing this. The girl explained the starfish would die if left til the morning.
The mother asked, "What difference will your efforts make when there are thousands of starfish on the beach?"
The girl stopped and looked at the starfish she was holding and said, "It will make a difference to this one."
6 Steps to Transforming Ego into Soul. Awesome Guidance! ♥
written by Gary Z. McGee
[source: Fractal Enlightenment]
We live in an excessively unhealthy culture. We are constantly surrounded by victims. This is because we are all victims of an egocentric society, and hence victims of our own ego-attachment to such perspectives. I’ve written about transforming wounds into wisdom and victims into warriors. This article will analyze tactics for transforming Ego into Soul; to go from a state of instability to a state of impeccability.
1. Expand all boundaries
“If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” –Bruce Lee
Utopia is a goal, never an end. When I walk two steps, the goal moves two steps further into the horizon. What is the goal for? It’s a reminder to keep moving, to keep going. Don’t stop, because the goal is constantly moving further and further away. Indeed, the journey truly is the thing. Keep stretching your comfort zone until it becomes the world then keep stretching it until it becomes the universe, and then keep going. Never stop. Like Sarah Lewis wrote in The Rise, “Masters are not masters because they take a subject to its conceptual end. They are masters because they realize that there isn’t one. On utterly smooth ground, the path from aim to attainment is in the permanent future.”
2. Subsume nature
“Tradition is the illusion of permanence.” –Woody Allen
Exhaust the primitive. Nothing remains the same. The only permanence is the impermanence of nature. When we subsume nature we realize that we are nature. We realize that we are constantly changing along with nature. The only healthy response to an every-changing system is to be open to change. We do so by exhausting the primitive both within and outside us so as to shatter any and all illusions of tradition or permanence.
I always hear this argument against the nature-based perspective: that the primitive is nowhere near as efficacious for the control of nature as our domesticated civilization. To which I retort: But of course, nature-based living may not be able to control the world, but at least it isn’t in any danger of destroying it. Our civilization controls the world up to a point at which it seems to be destroying it. And so we have become the antithesis of man as human animal (ego), whereas nature-based man is the apotheosis (soul).
Instead of only using our vainglorious narcissistic faces as mirrors for each other, we need to once again learn how to use the entire cosmos as a reflection. Like Jung fabulously articulated, “What is needed is to call a halt to the fatal dissociation that exists between our higher and lower being; we must unite the conscious aspect with the primitive.”
3. Verify the irrational
“Let go of certainty. The opposite isn’t uncertainty. It’s openness, curiosity and a willingness to embrace paradox, rather than choose up sides. The ultimate challenge is to accept ourselves exactly as we are, but never stop trying to learn and grow.” –Tony Schwartz
Nothing entrenches the ego in itself more than certainty. Always leave room for doubt, especially in such areas as religion, nationalism, sexuality and racism. The soul flies when the ego dies. It is from the blood and guts of the ego that the soul gets its fuel for flight. Like the blood and guts of the caterpillar must be annihilated in order to transform into the butterfly, so too must our egos be annihilated. We do this by consistently verifying the irrational. We do this by constantly interrogating our worldviews. We do this by daily questioning and re-questioning our perspectives in relation to others. Like Philip Guston wrote, “To know and then how not to know is the greatest puzzle of all… so much preparation for a few moments of desperate play. To learn how to unlearn.”
Remember: God interrogating itself to the limit is you; you interrogating yourself to the limit is God. Like Gerry Spence said, “I’d rather have a mind open by wonder than one closed by belief.”
4. Obtain a sublime reputation
“The day you stop racing, is the day you win the race.” –Bob Marley
When it comes to advice about life, my attitude is very simple: seek it out, absorb it, synthesize it, but when you are in the throes of living, forget it, and just live it. There is transcendence in letting go of transcendence. The daily rat race of chasing money for the sake of money has us all going through the motions of chasing each other’s tails through an indecipherable maze of one-upmanship. Let. It. Go! Live your life. Don’t let life live you.
If there is somebody telling you it can’t be done, inspire them by showing them how it can be done. Uplift the downtrodden. Move the unmoved. Exalt the un-exalted. Don’t just inspire, inspire awe through daily acts of courage and love. The status quo is the Ego’s prison. But the bars are an illusion. It’s up to you to realize that fact and free yourself, and then act as an example for others through your sublime reputation. Then again…
5. Create one demon at least
“The demon that you can swallow gives you its power, and the greater life’s pain, the greater life’s reply.” –Friedrich Nietzsche
Create at least one monster. Life is full of shoulds and shouldnots. It’s also full of should-a, would-a, could-a. One way to decalcify the ego, and thus magnify the soul, is by creating our own art: the kind of art that rejuvenates the spirit and is cathartic for the ego. Art is less about what you have not done and more about what you have done. The demon to be created and then consumed is the transformation of what we have not done into something we have done. This usually takes the form of art. Like Bertolt Brecht said, “Art is not a mirror held up to reality, but a hammer with which to shape it.”
This seems contradictory to #4 but this is only because art is contradictory. Objectively, art is alive in a way forbidden natural objects and, subjectively, in a way subsuming the subjects who create them. We humans are a fallible species. More so we are an excruciatingly complex and insecure species. Art is the cathartic process of our self-actualized inadequacies. Through our own creative expression we, in one fell swoop, free our demons and give them wings. Like Scott Adams wrote, “Creativity is allowing yourself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.”
So create at least one monster. Scare people with it. Shake them out of their too-comfortable comfort zones. Have the courage of the artist. Her courage is the ability to swallow the status quo and create new forms of perceiving. Like Bansky brilliantly tagged: “Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable.”
6. Inhabit everyone
“Just as one candle lights another and can light thousands of other candles, so one heart illuminates another and can illuminate thousands of other hearts.” –Leo Tolstoy
Sojourn with all things. Try your best to “walk a mile in their shoes” or “stand on the shoulders of giants.” If you can consistently do this, then your wisdom will become a force to be reckoned with. The reason is because of the interconnectedness of all things, cosmically, and our need for empathy, socially. We need each other. Our insecurity alone reveals that absolute fact. Empathy shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s vulnerability. Being vulnerable is constantly being in a state to receive new information without fear that it will change us; because it will change us. And that’s okay.
Like Alexander Velazquez pointed out: “Buddha mapped enlightenment as the nautical ley lines to inner peace. Jesus walked on waves of self-sacrifice and plotted love as a way to helm the soul to salvation. Nietzsche rode against currents of religious piety—and in the face of that behemoth, sailed the breakers of nihilism to eternal joy. King sailed through channels of racial inequality and anchored western culture to paths of desegregation.
Malcom challenged legions of racist warships and conquered waters of racial identity and power. Sartre showed us clouds of self-creation and tactical action as the guide to horizons of happiness. Gรถdel built compasses of mathematical rebellion to defy currents and streams, enabling circumnavigation through new straits. Wittgenstein stripped ships of their excess cargo of intangible and irrelevant philosophy in pursuit of truth. And Jung, by covering the entire ocean of the spirit, drew our first maps of the person. It is in studying carefully these great maps and utilizing their initiatives that we can invent new means and passages to distant frontiers.”
Characteristics of Self-Actualized People
written by Kendra Cherry
[source: About]
Abraham Maslow proposed a hierarchy of needs that represented various needs that motivate human behavior. The hierarchy is often displayed as a pyramid, with lowest levels representing basic needs and more complex needs located at the top of the pyramid.
At the peak of this hierarchy is self-actualization. The hierarchy suggests that when the other needs at the base of the pyramid have been met, the individual can then focus their attention on this pinnacle need. Self-actualization is described as "…the desire for self-fulfillment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially."
Self-Acceptance and Democratic World View
Self-actualized people tend to accept themselves and others as they are. They tend to lack inhibition and are able to enjoy themselves and their lives free of guilt. Other people are treated the same regardless of background, current status or other socio-economic and cultural factors.
Realistic
Another major characteristic of self-actualized people is a sense of realism. Rather than being fearful of things that are different or unknown, the self-actualized individual is able to view things logically and rationally.
Problem-Centered
Self-actualized individuals are often motivated by a strong sense of personal ethics and responsibility. They enjoy solving real-world problems and are often concerned with helping other people improve their own lives.
Peak Experiences
Self-actualization is also characterized by having frequent peak experiences. What exactly is a peak experience? According to Maslow, these "Feelings of limitless horizons opening up to the vision, the feeling of being simultaneously more powerful and also more helpless than one ever was before, the feeling of ecstasy and wonder and awe, the loss of placement in time and space with, finally, the conviction that something extremely important and valuable had happened, so that the subject was to some extent transformed and strengthened even in his daily life by such experiences."
Autonomy
The self-actualized individual does not conform to other people's ideas of happiness or contentment. This original perspective allows the individual to live in the moment and appreciate the beauty of each experience.
Solitude and Privacy
Self-actualized individuals value their privacy and enjoy solitude. While they also love the company of others, taking time to themselves is essential for personal discovery and cultivating individual potential.
Philosophical Sense of Humor
Self-actualized individuals generally have a thoughtful sense of humor. They are able to enjoy the humor in situations and laugh at themselves, but they do not ridicule or make fun at the expense of another person's feelings.
Spontaneity
Another characteristic of self-actualized people is a tendency to be open, unconventional and spontaneous. While these people are able to follow generally accepted social expectations, they do not feel confined by these norms in their thoughts or behaviors.
Enjoy the Journey
While self-actualized people have concrete goals, they do not see things as simply a means to an end. The journey toward achieving a goal is just as important and enjoyable as actually accomplishing the goal.
Ethical Dilemma
Ethical Dilemma
You are driving down the road in your car on a wild, stormy night, when you pass by a bus stop and you see three people waiting for the bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car.
Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application. You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first. Or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered:
"I would give the car keys to my old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."
Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think outside of the Box."

I have shared my top three favorite episodes: The Obsolete Man, To Serve Man and Time Enough at Last. Although, I have to say that ALL of the Twilight Zone episodes are AMAZING and sublime! Rod Serling was a prophetic storytelling/writing genius! I would also like to point out that the acting was SUPERB! They had GREAT producers and directors! It's like they all shared the same vision. :D
This year I've decided to throw in a BONUS TZ episode titled The Masks for your enjoyment. :) The moral of this story is so apropos to the many revelations coming forth this period.
Oh wow, very interesting. I never thought to look it up until now.— GlobalAwareness101 (@Mononoke__Hime) November 24, 2017
I've been having my own Thanksgiving day Twilight Zone marathon thanks to Netflix.
And just now, while admiring Rod Serling's work, I became curious what his birthday was. Well it's Dec 25 and he's a Capricorn.

More Than A Day
written by Karl Fuchs
As Thanksgiving Day rolls around,
It brings up some facts, quite profound.
We may think that we're poor,
Feel like bums, insecure,
But in truth, our riches astound.
We have friends and family we love;
We have guidance from heaven above.
We have so much more
Than they sell in a store,
We're wealthy, when push comes to shove.
So add up your blessings, I say;
Make Thanksgiving last more than a day.
Enjoy what you've got;
Realize it's a lot,
Thanksgiving Delights
written by Joanna Fuchs
On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful for
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.
For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of green and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.
We’re grateful for our eyes that see
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.
The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!
