Does the Blood Moon Eclipse on the 28th signify the end of the world?

No, but perhaps it does signify the end of the world as we know it.

There has been a great unravelling in recent months or even years, that is preparing us all to give birth to something new.

On the 28th we not only have a Harvest Moon, Super Moon and a Blood Moon but also an Eclipse that is part of a series of four that began back in 2014.

To make sense of all of this:

Harvest Moon: the full moon that is closest to the Spring/Autumnal equinox and is usually a powerful time of change and new beginnings.

Super Moon: when the moon is closer the earth due to it’s rotation and orbit. This is usually a time where the energetic effects of the moon and emotions run high and are felt stronger.

Blood Moon: when the earth casts a shadow on the moon causing the suns light to hit the moon and make it appear red. The term is also used to describe four total Lunar Eclipses.

Throughout history every four or tetrad of Blood Moon Eclipses have often signified powerful changes, ending and beginnings. These Moon series have also been referred to in many religious and spiritual text due to their significance.

Even though Lunar Eclipses are not uncommon, having a series of four Blood Moons is very rare and something that has not been repeated since 1967.

In order to really understand the significance of this Blood Moon Eclipse personally, it is necessary to go back in time and piece together what was happening at the very first Blood Moon Eclipse.

BLOOD MOON ECLIPSE #1

On April 14-15, 2014 we started the first of the Blood Moon Eclipses in the sign of Libra. This eclipse was all about relationships and breaking patterns. It was also about helping restore balance and equilibrium to relationships and coming into a deeper understanding of unconditional love and harmony. You can read more here.

BLOOD MOON ECLIPSE #2

On October 7-8, 2014 we had the second Eclipse in the sign of Aries. This was all about new beginnings, taking action and standing up for yourself. This Eclipse would have helped many to find their path and open up to a new way of being. You can read more here.

BLOOD MOON ECLIPSE #3

On April 4, 2015 we had the third eclipse in the sign of Libra. Again themes surrounding relationships, self-love and partnerships were bought to our attention and old beliefs and patterns around love were shed. You can read more here.

BLOOD MOON ECLIPSE #4

This is the final of the Eclipses and will fall in Aries on September 27-28, 2015.

Looking back through time there may have been significant events brewing around these dates that will now need to come to a close or resolution.

You may have also been feeling strong shifts in recent months that have perhaps lined up clues for you as to what may be in store on this very significant date.

Energetically, this final of the Blood Moon Eclipses is going to open a new doorway that is going to give rise to a new way of being- a new Earth that is higher in consciousness and more evolved.
In order to reach this stage, the old, the outdated and parts of the ego need to be shed, released and let go of.

Some will fight this urge and others will embrace it, giving rise to the disparity and the push/pull that may be felt on Earth.

It is up to us all how we want this rise in consciousness to change our world. Either we can flow with the changes or fight them, regardless however, they are happening.

During this time there is also a heightened sensitivity and perhaps even a greater understanding of the spirit world and metaphysics.

Think of this coming Eclipse as a gateway into a new world where we will all have a deeper understanding of humanity, our purpose and what life is all about.

Many believe that our solar system as we know it is moving into a new area of space and time and that through this shift we will all be experiencing and opening to new energies and realities.

This shift is extremely powerful and will definitely give rise to a new way of being and thinking.

You have probably already started to feel and see these changes in your own life, perhaps you have even begin to change your behaviours or attitudes to things. Perhaps you are now also realising that your way of being is no longer serving you.

The message for everyone is to dive head first into these changes. To be proud and assertive over what you want and to lose all attachments to the ego mind and body.

Go within to your soul and nurture the tiny flame within, allow it to guide you, allow it to show you the way.

Part of this huge shift in consciousness is also about stepping back and allowing life to live you instead of the other way around.

Part of this shift is about opening your heart to the Universe and feeling the deeper connections that surround us all.

Part of these shifts are really about YOU and aligning yourself on your highest path for your highest destiny.

There is absolutely nothing to fear, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, in fact in order to embrace these new energies here are some suggestions:

OPEN YOUR HEART

This Eclipse is really about learning how to open your heart and to move into a place where you can be free to receive and give love. Opening your heart to this energy is also going to allow you to really receive the new vibrations, frequencies and downloads that are going to be on offer. All of us are going to come into more intuitive and psychic knowing about our lives as long as our heart is open and free.

PROTECTION

With all the energy circling, it is now very important for us all to protect our mind and body from any fear based thoughts that surface. This includes adding to the fear about the events that are expected to happen. Be open minded and welcome in the changes while still protecting your own energy from the fears, chaos and attitudes of those around you.

RECHARGE

The energies in recent weeks have been heavy so definitely take the time to assess your situation and honour where you are at. If you are feeling stuck, good! That is exactly where you need to be, so embrace it and allow yourself to sit and gently ride the waves. Don’t force anything, for now is definitely the time to surrender.

HEAL

If there is something that has been nagging at you, something that you have been feeling it is time to let go of, now is definitely the time to get real with yourself and be truthful about what you really want to carry with you into this new gateway. This is also a time for lightworkers, empaths and earth angels to step into their gifts.

This final of four Blood Moons is really an amazing opportunity for everyone to start new. Now is really the time to shed the old in order for the new to be embraced.

On this upcoming Eclipse the final shedding will occur and as the year draws to a close, you will be given more insights on how to proceed on your new chapter.

Dear Friends,

THE FULL MOON WITH A LUNAR ECLIPSE IS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27 AT 8:50 PM MDT (MOUNTAIN DAYLIGHT TIME)

We are still in the play called “now or never” and the final act is about to start. and yes, this is in fact the beginning of the final act. But since this play is improvisational, where you end it is entirely up to you and your level of trust and faith. Either you will be launched to a new experience of life and opportunity or you will question everything with skepticism and caution. Either way is good. The play is not over yet.

Because this time may be fraught with a bit of chaos and craziness, it is very important that you do what you can to keep your grounding. So spending time in nature and with the more sane members of your community is a good idea. Beware of putting your faith and trust in the wrong things or in something that does not really resonate with you. Listen to yourself instead of to others who may be a bit delusional and have their own agenda. Stay neutral and refrain from judging that which is not yet complete.

Blessings,
Lena

Astrological Notes:

Full Moon in Aries/Total Lunar Eclipse
Sun in Libra ~ Moon in Aries 4ยบ
Sunday, September 27, 8:50 PM Mountain Time
(Monday, September 28, 2:50 AM Greenwich Mean Time)

An Aries Full Moon calls out our need for independence, self love, courage to lead and take the steps needed to tread a new path, reliance on our own inner fire. A powerful, bright moonlight will be shining on the Inner Masculine. We are infused with the strength and energy of Mars while the Libra Sun on the other axis seeks cooperation, justice, beauty and social diplomacy. Relationships ~ the Self and Other are the theme of this Full Moon/Total Eclipse. An eclipse makes it a stronger Moon; it means the Earth, Moon and Sun are more exactly aligned to each other and to the North/South nodes. Taking a longer view, the last four lunar eclipses have all been total eclipses stretching back to April 2014, a tetrad. And this Harvest Full Moon is the closest to Earth of the whole year. The pressure is on. Opportunities abound.

The lessons of Self and Other are perfectly highlighted and emphasized by the presence of the feminine asteroid Vesta closely aligned with the Full Moon and asteroid Juno accompanying the Libra Sun. Vesta teaches us to draw our sexual energy upward and inward so we can commit it to our own work, dedicate it to manifesting our ideals in the world, archetypally protecting the ‘sacred hearth and flame’ in dedication to a higher ideal. With the Moon so close and strong, we may need to attend to our own emotional world. Vesta has similar qualities to Virgo. We may find ourselves called to holding sacred space to partake of the highest frequencies possible, calling on our inner Aries warrior to stretch our capacities to hold more, clarifying our purpose and methods, or surrendering the known for the great mystery.

Juno, goddess of committed relationship, in Libra, sign of relationship, is in the same degree as the Libra Sun. Here is a Moon cycle dedicated to the reconciliation of the out of balance archetypal gender polarity we see acted out all over our planet ~ and in the most extreme way in the relationship to our beautiful Mother Earth.

The Eclipse/Full Moon and asteroid goddesses representing the Feminine (in masculine signs I might add) are closely aligned with the North (Sun) and South (Moon) Nodes which says this is a collective message and where we need to grow and surrender the old ways of being. Honor, forgive and bless the Masculine. Holding blame and resentment towards what has gone before only contributes to that old energy. This powerful eclipse portal is the opportunity to reset our gender polarity in a gargantuan way. Expression may come in personal relationships, your business engagements, or within yourself and your past.

Saturn really is our ally here having finally left Scorpio in the last week and re-entered the sign of Sagittarius. At this Moon, the Lord of Karma is asking us, ‘how are you going to create a new vision of balanced masculine and feminine relationship in your life?’ as he aligns positively with the Nodes in their last weeks of Aries/Libra after 18 months.

Mars, on the other hand, as ruler of this Aries Moon is having a harder time as it squares Saturn and is in stressful relationship to the South Node. The Masculine is challenged in this rebalancing of right relationship and is in need of support and guidance. Mars having just moved to Virgo this week will soon come under the guidance of Pluto and Jupiter in mid October and will be able to manifest Mars’ best side which is to lend supportive energy and fire.

Mercury is retrograde as of September 17 residing in Libra for two whole months instead of the usual three weeks. Doesn’t that point to the same place the Nodes, Full Moon, asteroids, eclipse, and Sun are pointing to? How clear does the cosmos have to make it for us? Even after Mercury goes direct on October 9 it doesn’t leave Libra until November 1. Plenty of time to bring our lives into balance speaking with greater heart, moving from place to place consciously, singing the song of “I am so blessed, I am so grateful…” in our every action. Mercury retrograde is our opportunity to strengthen all our networks that keep us connected in our physical life.

Having weathered numerous challenges this month, learned about ourselves and how we handle a huge uptick in energetic force, stood as focused as possible in our truth, use the Full Moon in Aries with total lunar eclipse to set your sights on what you want to create for the whole next season. You have so much available to you. Role all the excitement and courage and energy of Aries ability to strike off in a new direction into a grand reset. Align to relationship that is built on truth and where your goals for yourself are shared. Honor the mystery of the dark time as the Earth blocks the light of the Sun to the Moon in this eclipse.
  • 10/09 Mercury direct at 1ยบ Libra until January 2016
  • 10/12 Libra New Moon 19ยบ 6:06 PM Mountain Time
  • 10/23 Sun enters Scorpio 11:46 AM Mountain Time
  • 10/27 Taurus Full Moon 4ยบ 6:05 AM Mountain Time

HAPPENING TONIGHT: The Blood-Supermoon Supereclipse And The Closing Of The Great Window (2009-2015)

HAPPENING TONIGHT ~ THE BLOOD-SUPERMOON ECLIPSE &
THE CLOSING OF THE GREAT WINDOW
(WHEN TO SEE, AND WHAT IT MEANS!)

You can find a lot of information about the Eclipse happening tonight across the web, there is a lot of information out there from many different sources. I’m going to do my best to consolidate all of it here in one place, and show you where to go to learn more.

What is it?

The significance of this celestial event tonight is the rarity of all of these different items happening at once. These are the Supermoon, Blood-Moon, and Eclipse phenomenon. For those interested in the prophecies connected with this event, scroll down past the diagrams. For those new to the subject, here’s a brief description of each! You can click the titles for more information on each of them.

Supermoon -The Moon appears slightly bigger than average because of the rotation and orbits between the moon and the earth. We only see a perfect full-moon supermoon once every (roughly) 14 full moons, however because of the constant orbit around the earth, there may be as many as 3 supermoons in any given full moon cycle. They’re just not full, sometimes you don’t even see it because it happens on a new moon.

Eclipse – There are two kinds of eclipses, Solar and Lunar Eclipses. What we’re talking about here is a Lunar Eclipse, when the light from the Sun is blocked from reflecting the light of the full moon, but the moon still appears visible (Images below). While not all eclipses are blood-moons, typically they do make the moon appear slightly red… So then, what is a blood moon? I’m glad you asked!!

Blood Moon – The Blood Moon used to be a name describing a total Lunar Eclipse, which would make the moon appear red in the dimming of the reflection of the light from the sun combined with the shadow of the earth. However, in modern days it has become a widespread name in the media for a Tetrad of eclipses, when you see 4 blood moons in a row without any other eclipses happening between them.

There is actually a prophecy I’ve taken some time to write about below, regarding the 4 blood moons in a row and the end times of our great cycle.

When is it happening?

Obviously a great many of us will want to see this great event! Fortunately, some wonderful people across the interwebs have put together these great images describing the how, where and when. Take a look.

First, here’s a time-table for all of the timezones it will be visible in. Courtesy of Space.com

Next, here’s a diagram of how its going to appear from a 2D diagram perspective. The times given are Mountain time, so feel free to adjust it using the timetable above as needed. Image courtesy of County10.

Continuing these images, here’s a 3D image showing you exactly how it works, as the earth, sun, and moon all line up with each other during this important celestial event. Note – this is not to scale. Image courtesy of thelucidplanet.com
Finally, here’s a graphic showing where this eclipse will be seen over the surface of the planet. Image courtesy of timeanddate.com. Unfortunately, the entire world won’t be able to see this event. Nonetheless, it shall affect everyone, just as full moons always do.
The Blood Moon Prophecy
Back in 2013 a book was published by Christian pastor John Hagee, who wrote about a prophecy from the book of Joel & Revelations. It was actually this book that popularized the term “Blood Moon” meaning the 4 successive deep-red moons in a row. Of course, it was not without many bible quotes:

The sun will be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood before the great and dreadful day of the LORD comes.

If the ancients had truly seen a vision of the future, then one could observe these successive blood moons and connect them to these events that are happening today. Is any of it definitive? No, but the connections, along with the state of the human race currently truly paints a picture of what is to come (see next section for more).

Another interesting phenomenon (if you hadn’t noticed on that image above), is that every single one of these 4 successive and rare blood-moon events took place on a jewish holiday.

I don’t know about you, but that is a WILD synchronicity. Maybe there is something more to this.

What does “Closing of the Great Window” mean?

As it is embedded in the Mayan Calendar, the great window was a window of opportunity between (roughly) 2009 and 2015, in which December 21st, 2012 fell right in the smack middle of this window. During this time, Mankind had an opportunity to learn and grow with all of the information that had become available thanks to the internet.

Information became widespread because it was at everyones fingertips for the first time in history, easier than it has ever been before in the infant stages of the world wide web. There was new discussion, new awakenings, and shifts that occurred in the hearts and minds of the many as they began to see the world in a new, more connected way. It was a brief, mini golden age of information.

The Parable of the Sower

Matthew 13:1-23 NIV
[source: Biblegateway]

1 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore.

3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”

11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:

Though seeing, they do not see; though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:

“You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.

15 For this people’s heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and turn, and I would heal them."

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. 17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

**************************

Luke 8:1-56 NIV
[source: Biblegateway]

After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.

4 While a large crowd was gathering and people were coming to Jesus from town after town, he told this parable: 5 “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds ate it up. 6 Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.”

When he said this, he called out, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

9 His disciples asked him what this parable meant. 10 He said, “The knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to others I speak in parables, so that,

“‘though seeing, they may not see;
though hearing, they may not understand.’

11 “This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is the word of God. 12 Those along the path are the ones who hear, and then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away. 14 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature. 15 But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop.

A Lamp on a Stand

16 “No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light. 17 For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. 18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

Jesus’ Mother and Brothers

19 Now Jesus’ mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd. 20 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to see you.”

21 He replied, “My mother and brothers are those who hear God’s word and put it into practice.”

Jesus Calms the Storm

22 One day Jesus said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side of the lake.” So they got into a boat and set out. 23 As they sailed, he fell asleep. A squall came down on the lake, so that the boat was being swamped, and they were in great danger.

24 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”

He got up and rebuked the wind and the raging waters; the storm subsided, and all was calm. 25 “Where is your faith?” he asked his disciples.

In fear and amazement they asked one another, “Who is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him.”

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man

26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes, which is across the lake from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” 29 For Jesus had commanded the impure spirit to come out of the man. Many times it had seized him, and though he was chained hand and foot and kept under guard, he had broken his chains and had been driven by the demon into solitary places.

30 Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”

“Legion,” he replied, because many demons had gone into him. 31 And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss.

32 A large herd of pigs was feeding there on the hillside. The demons begged Jesus to let them go into the pigs, and he gave them permission. 33 When the demons came out of the man, they went into the pigs, and the herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and was drowned.

34 When those tending the pigs saw what had happened, they ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, 35 and the people went out to see what had happened. When they came to Jesus, they found the man from whom the demons had gone out, sitting at Jesus’ feet, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 36 Those who had seen it told the people how the demon-possessed man had been cured. 37 Then all the people of the region of the Gerasenes asked Jesus to leave them, because they were overcome with fear. So he got into the boat and left.

38 The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying, 39 “Return home and tell how much God has done for you.” So the man went away and told all over town how much Jesus had done for him.

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

40 Now when Jesus returned, a crowd welcomed him, for they were all expecting him. 41 Then a man named Jairus, a synagogue leader, came and fell at Jesus’ feet, pleading with him to come to his house 42 because his only daughter, a girl of about twelve, was dying.

As Jesus was on his way, the crowds almost crushed him. 43 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. 44 She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped.

45 “Who touched me?” Jesus asked.

When they all denied it, Peter said, “Master, the people are crowding and pressing against you.”

46 But Jesus said, “Someone touched me; I know that power has gone out from me.”

47 Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched him and how she had been instantly healed. 48 Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

49 While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” he said. “Don’t bother the teacher anymore.”

50 Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus, “Don’t be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed.”

51 When he arrived at the house of Jairus, he did not let anyone go in with him except Peter, John and James, and the child’s father and mother. 52 Meanwhile, all the people were wailing and mourning for her. “Stop wailing,” Jesus said. “She is not dead but asleep.”

53 They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” 55 Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. 56 Her parents were astonished, but he ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.

Turn The Beat Around
~ by Vicki Sue Robinson

Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion
Love to hear it
Blow horns you sure sound pretty
Your violins keep movin' to the nitty gritty
When you hear the scratch of the guitars scratchin'
Then you'll know that rhythm carries all the action, woah
Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion
Love to hear it
Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion
Love to hear it
Flute player play your flute 'cause
I know that you want to get your thing off
But you see I've made up my mind about it
It's got to be the rhythm, no doubt about it, woah, woah
'Cause when the guitar player start playing
With the syncopated rhythm, with the scratch, scratch, scratch
Makes me wanna move my body, yeah, yeah, yeah
And when the drummer starts beating that beat
He nails that beat with the syncopated rhythm
With the rat, tat, tat, tat, tat, tat on the drums, hey
Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion
Love to hear it, love to hear it
Love to hear it, love to hear it
Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion
Love to hear it
Turn the beat around
Love to hear the percussion
Turn it upside down
Love to hear the percussion

5 Tips To Become More Light-Hearted

written by Naomi Goodlet
[source: Pick the Brain]

Are you too serious? Maybe you get offended easily or judge others on autopilot? Or perhaps you just feel that you could benefit from ‘lightening up” and taking a more cheerful approach to your life?

We can get bogged down, solemn and stuck in our unhelpful ways, trudging through each day carrying on our habits from the day before.

But I’m here to challenge you to intervene and make some changes. It’s for your own good.

Here are 5 easy tips to become more light-hearted.

1) Come from love

Love is open, generous and most importantly, non-judgmental. This means that in order to come from love, you need to accept people as they are.

Notice how you label others or disapprove of their choices. Doing this only serves to make you feel tense, frustrated or critical and trust me, if you’ve been judging others for a while, you deserve to feel better… and you can!

Use this reminder: I can’t change you, I accept you as you are. I choose to feel good.

2) If it will be funny later, let it be funny now

Something goes unexpectedly wrong, your plans get interrupted, someone lets you down or, worst of all, one of your tech devices stops working! Tragedy!

Have you ever had a complete meltdown when something like this happened only to laugh about it when you shared the story later?

If it’s funny later, it can be funny now. I promise.

When you feel yourself getting sucked into meltdown mode, imagine yourself telling this story to a good friend in a year’s time. Are you laughing about it? If so then allow yourself to channel that hilarity into the present moment. Let it be funny now!

3) Ask questions

There is much to be gained from showing a genuine interest in another person. Not only do you open yourself up to learn something new, but you give the gift of your attention. Probably the greatest gift you can ever offer to anyone.

If you find yourself stuck in the story of your own life, feeling miserable about your situation then it’s unlikely that complaining about it is going to make you feel any better or deepen your relationship with your loved ones.

Instead, ask them about their life. You will relax and they will feel validated and appreciated. Engaging with others without the need to be heard in return is a noble skill, the mastery of which will leave you feeling surprisingly fulfilled.

4) Bring positivity with you

It can be so easy to fall into the pattern of expecting people, events and circumstances to bring us joy, we often forget that we can bring it too.

Make it your goal to fill your own life and the lives of those around you up with positivity. I’m not talking about approaching events with the attitude of “This better be good,” and then allowing yourself to be disappointed if it’s not as good as you’d liked it to be.

Instead it’s about getting your “happy” on and then not allowing anyone or anything to take it from you. That is your choice to make. Nobody forces you to give it away.

Consider something that we all deal with from time to time, waiting. If you show up with a positive spirit then waiting probably won’t bother you. But, if you let the situation sap your good vibes, then you make space for frustration and blame that will not only leave you in a bad mood but also make you fairly unpleasant to be around.

5) Smile

It seems obvious but most people don’t do it as often as they’d like to think they do.

Imagine that all day tomorrow you’re going to be filming a close up movie of your face that you can watch back. Check in with yourself throughout the day and consider how many times you smiled in the last 30 minutes.

Was it enough for you?

Smiling not only does wonders for your own body, it invites people to smile with you. It shares something special and magical. Think of someone you love, a funny story or something that you are grateful for and let it beam out of you through your smile!

Achieving Happiness With A Lighthearted And Easygoing Attitude

written by Staff
[source: Live Life Well, Lifestyle Health and Wellness Concepts]

So, you want to be happy and have fun in life but your problems and obstacles are weighing you down and stopping you from achieving this enjoyable pleasure. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do to change that, or is there?

Well, you may not be able to change your current predicament, but you can try adopting an attitude of lightheartedness and watch how quickly you can inject an element of fun and laughter into your daily lifestyle. It's as simple as that. Of course, it will require some effort to adapt, and it is an ongoing lifelong work in progress, but it's well worth it.

Sure, life will present serious situations that require careful and deep thought, your undivided attention, and a serious attitude, but we shouldn't overdo it either. Everything doesn't merit or require an unpleasant and serious attitude. In fact, obsessive worrying and becoming stressed out is unhealthy for you and doesn't resolve anything, but can possibly make you sick.

Laughter is great medicine and maintaining a cheerful and playful lighthearted attitude and approach towards what you're doing, can only help you. Sure, you're responsible and you work hard too, but that doesn't mean that you have to be ridged and dry like some old bread without jam. Be serious if you have to deal with an emergency, but don't turn everything into a serious and intense situation. If you do, you will probably be missing out on many of the beautiful things your life has to offer. Create balance in your life. Be serious about completing a task, but get it done while maintaining a cheerful and healthy attitude and approach. You do not want to look back later in life with regret.Thinking that you were too ridged and serious to take advantage of the golden opportunities that were right in front of you. Most people tend to look back and think about whether they were happy and had good experiences. They tend to remember who they shared those good experiences with and what they were doing at that time. Most of the good times in our lives involved good feelings and emotions. We felt good, the situation was good and we were happy. How you approach a situation affects your experience, and your experiences make up all the moments in your life. Our accomplishments are almost meaningless if they are associated with bad experiences and bad memories. Every time we think of a situation or an accomplishment, our emotions kick in and we automatically start to remember whether we had a pleasant or an unpleasant experience. So it's not just about getting the job done, it's also about how you get it done.

Personality has a lot to do with a persons' attitude. Some people tend to be quiet and serious, as though they're always deep in thought and worrying about something. They seem to be a little depressed, and often have difficulty enjoying themselves in social situations. These folks tend to think that getting things done with great accuracy is what's most important. Other people are always kidding around, acting silly and trying desperately to create a amazing social experience and a good time. They may seem not to care much about being constructive and getting the job done perfectly. While others seem to know when it's appropriate to be serious, silly, or a combination of both. They accomplish their goals and objectives, and they do it with style and playfulness. They seem to know how to create balance and get the best of both worlds. Your objective is to squeeze in as many good experiences as possible, while accomplishing great things in all aspects of your life-wellness.

Use your perspective, attitude and approach to help you to maintain a positive level of happiness and to provide opportunities that enrich your life and the world around you. Choosing to approach everyday with a happy and healthy attitude can make the difference between living a good life or a bad one. If you approach everything with a serious and controlling attitude, you're probably going to create or exacerbate bad situations. You will only make matters worse. You can't take those moments back and redo your experiences, so it's ultimately your choice as to how you're going to view and experience each moment. It's not just about being constructive or changing what you're doing, it's also about changing your perspective, attitude, and approach that ultimately matters.

Be serious but playful when the situation calls for it. Know which situations require a serious attitude, and which ones do not. Try your best to lighten up and have more fun as often as you can, while striving to accomplish your objectives. This doesn't mean you always try to be silly or funny. You don't want to be a clown looking for laughs, but you also don't need to be a miserable, dry, and ridged person either.

You can still do what you have to do, but do it with the least amount of negative drama and intensity as possible. You can minimize the negative drama by maintaining a lighthearted, cheerful, and carefree attitude. Being carefree, joyful, and content isn’t about being irresponsible, but it is about being open to enjoying the moment without unnecessary worry, or a dysfunctional need to control people or situations.

There are a lot of benefits to having an easygoing perspective and to approaching everything you do with a lighthearted playful attitude. It can lead to better emotional health, improve relationships, enhance positive experiences, etc. Laughter and a lighthearted healthy attitude, impacts all aspects of your life in a positive way, and in the same way that being serious, rigorous, and strict affects all aspects of your life in a negative manner. It's common sense if you think about it.
Achieving success is not just measured by the financial wealth that you accumulate, but by the life you lead. Can you have a successful life if you don't enjoy it? No, not really. A successful person is someone who is healthy, content, and joyful. A person who is able to achieve a high state of life-wellness, and can maintain a well-balanced and well-rounded successful lifestyle.

It is so important to put yourself in positive situations as often as possible. Try spending more time doing the things that you enjoy. A lot of your day-to-day activities and situations maybe boring, but you can turn most of them into positive experiences by simply maintaining a lighthearted and easygoing attitude.

Try to make your regular activities more fun. Almost any task or chore can become tedious and mundane if you do it enough times with the wrong attitude. But you can change all of that by changing your prospective and approach. For example, you can create an upbeat, cheerful and positive situation while you're doing mundane chores such as house cleaning, laundry, cooking, or painting a room, simply by playing music, singing, and incorporating simple Qi gong movements and deep breathing exercises.

It's easier to maintain a lighthearted and cheerful attitude when you are physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy, then when you are unhealthy and sick. It's extremely difficult to be upbeat, when you are physically ill or when you're experiencing anxiety and mood swings. It's also difficult to maintain inner-peace and tranquility while you have a serious and intense attitude. Lack of motivation and inspiration also makes it difficult to maintain a lighthearted and positive attitude. In fact, almost anything can negatively affect your ability to maintain a lighthearted and easygoing attitude. It's a known fact that the majority of people who exercise on a regular basis, maintain good eating habits, get enough sleep, and allocate time to take care of themselves and their life-wellness, are happier and more successful than those who don't. Are you doing everything you can to take care of yourself and maintain a relaxed, lighthearted and constructive positive attitude? It's also important to work towards understanding and resolving any emotional issues that you may have.

Try to pin point what is stopping you from living your life with a positive and constructive lighthearted attitude. With enough practice, you'll eventually figure out that creating balance in your life is the best strategy, and that worrying and obsessing isn’t going to help anything but rob you of your health and of the precious and happy moments and opportunities that you could have had, if you'd only approached things with a lighthearted and positive attitude. Choosing to focus more on the lighter side of life won't resolve all of your problems, but it can definitively make you feel better, and that can lead to living a happy and fulfilled life. It's your choice, so choose wisely.

WORLD: Japan’s 105-Year-Old 'Golden Bolt', Hidekichi Miyazaki, Sets Guinness World Record For 100 Metres. WOW So Full Of Life! :D

A pin-up for the nation’s rapidly ageing “silver” population, Japanese pensioner Hidekichi Miyazaki sets a 100 meter Guinness World Record a day after turning 105.

An energetic 105-year-old Japanese man who dubs himself "Golden Bolt" has set a new world record after running 100 metres in 42.22 seconds.

Hidekichi Miyazaki, who took up running in his 90s, completed his 100-metre dash alongside a clutch of other elderly runners at the Kyoto Masters Competition in Kyoto, western Japan.

His performance - which took place a day after his 105th birthday – set a Guinness World Record for the over-105s, a category for which no mark previously existed.

After being greeted by his great grandchildren clutching flowers at the finishing line, he jubilantly imitated the signature lightning pose of his hero Usain Bolt, whose world record for the same distance is 9.58 seconds.

However, Mr Miyazaki, who is clearly a perfectionist as well as a self-proclaimed “medical marvel”, was disappointed with his result, having hoped to shave a few seconds off his time.

After catching his breath, he told AFP: “I’m not happy with the time. I started shedding tears during the race because I was going so slowly. Perhaps I’m getting old!”

Mr Miyazaki, the ultimate pin up for the nation’s rapidly ageing “silver” demographic, added: “I’m still a beginner you know. I’ll have to train harder. Training was going splendidly, so I had set myself a target of 35 seconds. I can still go faster.”

Diminutive five-foot tall Mr Miyazaki, who was born four years before the start of World War One, trains by placing a kilogram weight into his rucksack and taking daily walks around the local park near where he lives in Kyoto while he prepares for races with a catnap.

Although Mr Miyazaki realises he often loses valuable seconds because he cannot hear the starter’s gun go off, he prides himself on his robust health, despite his advancing years.

“I will say this: I’m proud of my health,” he said. “The doctors gave me a medical examination a couple of days ago and I’m fit as a fiddle.

“My brain might not be the sharpest but physically I’m tip-top. I’ve never had any health problems. The doctors are amazed by me. I can definitely keep on running for another two or three years.”

USA: 80-Year-Old Man Builds A Dog Train To Take Rescued Stray Dogs On Adventures :D

Eugene Bostick may have officially retired about 15 years ago, but in some ways that was when his most impactful work began.

Not long after, he embarked on a new career path of sorts — as a train conductor for rescued stray dogs.

The lively 80-year-old Fort Worth, Texas, native says he never planned on dedicating his golden years to helping needy pets. Instead, it was a duty thrust upon him by the heartlessness of others.

"We live down on a dead-end street, where me and my brother have a horse barn," Bostick told The Dodo. "People sometimes come by and dump dogs out here, leaving them to starve. So, we started feeding them, letting them in, taking them to the vet to get them spayed and neutered. We made a place for them to live."

Over the years, Bostick has taken in countless abandoned dogs. But more than just keeping them safe, he's found an adorable way to keep them happy, too.

While the rescued dogs have plenty of room to run and play on Bostick's farm, the retiree thought it would nice to be able to take them on little trips to other places as well. That's about the time he was inspired to build a canine-specific form of transportation just for them.

"One day I was out and I seen this guy with a tractor who attached these carts to pull rocks. I thought, 'Dang, that would do for a dog train,'" said Bostick. "I'm a pretty good welder, so I took these plastic barrels with holes cut in them, and put wheels under them and tied them together."

And with that, the dog train was born.

Once or twice a week now, Bostick and the nine dogs currently under his care can be seen puttering down quiet streets around town or through the forest near their home, or stopping by a local creek for some fresh air in the custom dog train. It's something the formerly unloved dogs have come to relish in their happy new lives.

"Whenever they hear me hooking the tractor up to it, man, they get so excited," said Bostick. "They all come running and jump in on their own. They're ready to go."

The dog train has come to attract a fair share of attention among locals who occasionally stop to ask if they can take a few pictures. But for Bostick, it's all about bringing a bit of joy to a handful of dogs who had been through so much before finding themselves as his cheerful passengers.

"I'm getting up in age. I'm 80 now, so I suppose it can't last too much longer, but I'll keep it going as long as I can," said Bostick. "The dogs have a great time. They just really enjoy it."

SANTA FE – The attorney general is asking a state district judge to expand the injunction against a horse slaughter operation in Roswell so that a successor firm – which the AG calls a “shell company” – couldn’t start one.

But the company’s lawyer says the attorney general’s request is “much ado about nothing,” since federal action has blocked horse slaughter and there are no plans for the Roswell site.

“This is just harassment,” said A. Blair Dunn, the lawyer for Valley Meat Co.

The AG sued the firm in 2013, resulting in a preliminary injunction in 2014 that prevents the plant from operating. It’s still in force, and the lawsuit is pending in state District Court.

The next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 22.

For more than a year, the AG has been trying to get information from Valley Meat about the company itself, its investors, the proposed slaughterhouse and any contracts to buy horses or sell horse meat.

The company has refused to respond to the discovery demands, saying the lawsuit is moot because Valley Meat has dropped its plans for horse slaughter at the site.

Meanwhile, according to the AG, two people who had a business relationship with Valley Meat formed D’Allende Meats, which the AG claims is a “shell company” aimed at sidestepping the injunction.

D’Allende Meats applied to the U.S. Department of Agriculture for permission to slaughter horses at the same Roswell plant and to the state Environment Department for a groundwater discharge permit.

D’Allende Meats also removed the AG’s lawsuit to federal court in December 2014, contending there were civil rights issues. A federal judge batted it back to state court in May for several reasons – including that the company didn’t have the legal authority to remove it and there was no civil rights justification.

The office of Attorney General Hector Balderas alleged in a letter filed in state District Court that D’Allende Meats “misused removal to obtain an improper five-month ‘time out’ from these proceedings” in state court.

The attorney general is also arguing that D’Allende Meats is a “front company … to carry on the very same commercial horse slaughter” that the court enjoined Valley Meats from doing.

He’s asking the court to modify the existing injunction to make clear it applies to D’Allende Meats, and to preclude the new company from pursuing applications to regulatory agencies for horse slaughter and wastewater discharge.

Dunn says in documents filed with the court that the attorney general should be made to stop his “harassment” and that the case should be dismissed.

The discovery requested by the AG is not relevant because there is no longer a controversy, Dunn argues. The lawsuit has been “rendered moot by Congress,” which currently prohibits the funding of horse slaughter inspection services.

Dunn told the Journal that D’Allende Meats, which now owns the Roswell plant, wants a groundwater discharge permit from the state so that cattle could be processed there. The facility is for sale and “nobody is going to buy a plant if there is no groundwater discharge permit,” he said.

“D’Allende has no plans to open anything in that facility at this juncture,” Dunn said.

In a separate lawsuit, filed in July in state District Court in Roswell, Dunn is suing horse protection groups – including the Humane Society of the United States, and a foundation started by former Gov. Bill Richardson and actor Robert Redford – alleging they illegally interfered with Valley Meat’s business activity.

Many of the defendants in that lawsuit were plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit against USDA in 2013, during a brief period when Congress allowed funding for horse slaughter inspections, and the USDA issued grants of inspection for Valley Meat and another company. The organizations’ lawsuit was ultimately dismissed as moot.

Valley Meat claims in the Roswell suit that the organizations misused the legal system to destroy the company’s business.

“The complaint is baseless,” Kate Ferlic, a lawyer for the Foundation to Protect New Mexico Wildlife, told the Journal.

The foundation, started by Redford and Richardson, has asked the court to dismiss the complaint, saying it is vague and not supported by facts.

Animal welfare organizations support Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act

Federal lawmakers today introduced legislation to prevent the establishment of horse slaughter operations within the U.S., end the current export of American horses for slaughter abroad, and protect the public from consuming toxic horse meat. The Safeguard American Food Exports (SAFE) Act, H.R. 1942, was introduced by Reps. Frank Guinta (R-N.H.), Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.), and Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-N.M.). The ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), the Animal Welfare Institute, The Humane Society of the United States and The Humane Society Legislative Fund announced their enthusiastic support for the legislation.

Last year, more than 140,000 American horses were slaughtered for human consumption in foreign countries. The animals often suffer long journeys to slaughter plants in Canada and Mexico without adequate food, water or rest. At the slaughterhouse, horses are brutally forced into a “kill box” and shot in the head with a captive bolt gun in an attempt to stun them before slaughter—a process that can be inaccurate due to the biology and nature of equines and result in animals sustaining repeated blows or remaining conscious during the kill process.

For centuries, horses have embodied the spirit of American freedom and pride,” said Rep. Guinta. “To that end, horses are not raised for food – permitting their transportation for the purposes of being slaughtered for human consumption is not consistent with our values and results in a dangerously toxic product. This bipartisan bill seeks to prevent and end the inhumane and dangerous process of transporting thousands of horses a year for food.”

Horses sent to slaughter are often subject to appalling, brutal treatment,” said Rep. Schakowsky. “We must fight those practices. The SAFE Act of 2015 will ensure that these majestic animals are treated with the respect they deserve.”

“The slaughter of horses for human consumption is an absolute travesty that must be stopped,” said Rep. Buchanan. “This bipartisan measure will finally put an end to this barbaric practice.”

"Horse slaughter is an inhumane practice that causes great pain and distress to the animals, and poses numerous environmental and food safety concerns,” said Rep. Lujan Grisham. “The vast majority of my constituents oppose horse slaughter. I'm proud to support the SAFE Act to ban this cruelty once and for all."

The SAFE Act would also protect consumers from dangerous American horse meat, which can be toxic to humans due to the unregulated administration of drugs to horses. Because horses are not raised for food, they are routinely given hundreds of toxic drugs and chemical treatments over their lifetimes that are prohibited by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in animals intended for human consumption. Those drugs, although safe for horses, are potentially toxic to humans if consumed. In December 2014, the European Union announced its suspension of imports of horse meat from Mexico after a scathing audit of EU-certified Mexican horse slaughter plants, which kill tens of thousands of American horses each year. Additionally, the discovery of horse meat in beef products in Europe shocked consumers and raised concerns about the potential impact on American food industries.

The ASPCA, AWI, and The HSUS encourage the public to contact their U.S. representatives and urge them to cosponsor the SAFE Act in order to protect America’s horses and overall consumer health from horse slaughter.

USA: The FEDERAL Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Begins Rounding Up Salt River Wild Horses In Arizona. URGENT CALL TO ACTION, Please Help!

Published on Aug 9, 2015

URGENT CALL TO ACTION PLEA: PLEASE SHARE, SUBSCRIBE AND LIKE THIS VIDEO IN OUR EFFORTS TO ENSURE HE SAFETY OF THE SALT RIVER WILD HORSES FROM BEING ROUNDED UP ! THEY ARE NOT SAFE YET !

YOUR VOICE COUNTS!

This Video is a short but impactful piece covering the 'Save the Salt River Wild Horse' Campaign. These wild horses were scheduled to be rounded up by the US Forest Services on the 7th August, 2015.

However due to a large scale public outcry including celebrities, animal advocates and politicians along with wild horse advocacy organizations that comprise The Salt River Wild Horse Management Group ( which ARM is a part of ), the round up was postponed.

This video tells their story so far. The fight continues.

The fight is still continuing everyday . Please contact the officials at the end of this video and sign petitions, contact us at our website www.animalrecoverymission.org if you can help in any way.

Stop the Annihilation of the Salt River Wild Horses!
Right now they have 274,961 signatures. They need 300,000

Shannon Conley writes:

The iconic salt river wild horses are in danger of being killed. The US Forest Service (USFS) has posted a public notice of roundup and removal. The outrageous part of the notice states: “Livestock not sold at public sale may be sold at private sale or condemned and destroyed, or otherwise disposed of.” The USFS has ignored a humane management proposal from the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group.

I am writing to object in the strongest of terms to the Forest Service planned removal of the Salt River wild horses in the Tonto National Forest.

In 1971 the USFS was mandated by the Wild Free Roaming Horse and Burro Act to establish wild horse territories where wild horses and burros existed at that time. The Forest Service admits that the Salt River Wild Horses were present in and around the Salt River at that time, and many eyewitnesses and articles prove that fact, yet they did not create a territory for the herd. The reason for this has never been answered by the USFS.

We believe that the Forest Service violated a federal law by refusing to assign a Wild Horse Territory where they themselves have records of wild horses roaming as far back as 1930. There is no reason why the Forest Service should want to rob Arizona of this historically, economically and ecologically significant herd. Why are they in such a hurry and why are they doing this without a fair public process?

We are at one of those crucial points in time that mankind really may regret years from now. If the horses are rounded up, the Forest Service will make an historical mistake that cannot be reversed.

Instead of using our tax dollars to eradicate the Salt River wild horses from the National Forest, we urge you to accept the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group’s Preservation Proposal. A public-private partnership offers opportunities for win-win solutions to preserve this amazing herd and important tourism and heritage resource.

The Salt River wild horses are beloved by the public and tourists who travel from around the world to visit this unique heritage herd, but once they are gone, they are gone for good. Please don’t let the USFS take away this important part of our natural heritage. Join the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group and ask the USFS to spare the horses and accept the Salt River Wild Horse Management Group’s Preservation Proposal.

Twenty-three wild horses were brought in during the first day of a gather on Wednesday, hours after a federal judge in Washington, D.C., rejected the notion that the federal government intended to “zero out” the West Douglas herd.

U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper ruled that the public interest was better served by allowing the Bureau of Land Management to manage “wild free-roaming horses” over preventing potential harm from the gather, which the judge said would be “minimal.”

The BLM started the gather at 6:30 a.m., using bait and water to attract horses in the West Douglas area, as well as driving horses toward corrals using a helicopter.

“All of them looked healthy and there were no incidents coming into the trap,” BLM spokesman Christopher Joyner said Wednesday. “The contractor did a good job of ensuring the horses weren’t stressed.”

The agency will conduct the gather until it collects 167 horses — the number of spaces available in long-term holding facilities run by the BLM.

Cooper ruled that the BLM’s designation of all horses in the West Douglas Herd area as “excess” didn’t mean that the agency intended to remove all horses from the 123,000-acre area.

Excess animals are those that must be removed to preserve “a thriving natural ecological balance on the public lands,” Cooper wrote.

The injunction was sought by The Cloud Foundation, Wild Horse Freedom Federation, The Colorado Wild Horse and Burro Coalition, Don and Toni Moore of Fruita, and Barb Flores of Greeley. Don Moore is a veterinarian.

Several opponents of the gather — many of them from Arizona, which has a band of horses in Salt Wash — called reporters on Wednesday to question the gather, or roundup, of animals that played a significant role in U.S. history.

The plaintiffs filed suit on Sept. 4 and filed for an injunction on Sept. 6. Cooper presided over a hearing on Sept. 11 in which Flores and an official with The Cloud Foundation and Kent Walter, manager of the BLM’s White River Field Office, testified.

“This case has proceeded at a gallop,” Cooper wrote in his decision, in which he also cited a lyric from the Rolling Stones 1971 song, “Wild Horses.”

“(They) have (their) freedom, but (they) don’t have much time,” Cooper wrote, “So it is for a group of wild horses that, beginning tomorrow, are scheduled to be removed from two tracts of federal rangeland in northwest Colorado.”
