HAPPY NEW YEAR America! 2015 Has Arrived! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2015
LET FREEDOM RING!
What does let freedom ring mean?

The expression is from last line of the first verse of Samuel Francis Smith's poem "My Country 'Tis of Thee" (also called "America, the Beautiful"). The song itself is about America's people singing in celebration of their country --both its physical features and all the freedoms it enjoys (as the "sweet land of liberty"). The poet imagines the song being heard everywhere ('from every mountainside'), and even nature itself joining in the song.

The third verse continues and extends the image, looking for all people, all creatures, even the very rocks to sing out:

Let music swell the breeze,
And ring from all the trees
Sweet freedom's song;
Let mortal tongues awake;
Let all that breathe partake;
Let rocks their silence break,
The sound prolong.

Thus "let freedom ring" is a wish and invitation to fellow citizens that the "song of freedom" might be sung out throughout the whole land. The 'singing of the song of freedom' includes not only extolling the (past) enjoyment of liberty in this land, but also making it more and more a reality.

Let Freedom Ring is also a U.S. phrase: A statement that the ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness should be spread across the Earth and allowed to flourish.

One More Time!!! Okay, If You Are Not Jamming Yet Well This Song Will Help You Kick It Into Gear!!! WooHoo!!! Let's Have FUN FUN FUN And CELEBRATE TONIGHT! :D

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
~ 2015 ~

I'm so sorry I've been MIA, on and off for the past few months. I've had several personal situations I had to deal with, one after another. But I'm happy to report things are looking up. I've done my part with God's help and I trust that God has my back. I know that no weapon formed against me directly or indirectly shall prosper. It hasn't all been challenging, I had sprinkles of good news throughout my ordeals. That was God's way of letting me know everything is going to be okay. :) Life is GOOD! I see each and every one of my situations as challenges that strengthen me and force me to grow in so many ways.

I've missed you and intend to jump back on this horse and ride her into the New Year. So expect to see me blogging regularly again. I have a lot to catch up on.

This is how I shake it all off of me. ;) I'll be damned if I let this world's MADNESS, a person or a situation steal MY JOY!!! We have so much to be GRATEFUL for... just look around you. Thank God that you have a roof over your head, clothes on your back, clean water to drink and food to eat. The simple fact that you are breathing and have all of your senses should be enough to give God thanks everyday!

So get up off that couch and DANCE in your living room!!! CELEBRATE, LAUGH and choose to be HAPPY! Come on folks, let's get this party started... :D

Twilight Zone Marathon On The Syfy Channel WooHoo!!! Happy Camper :D The Obsolete Man. This Is My #1 Favorite Twilight Zone Episode :)

FYI my fellow Twilight Zone lovers! The Syfy channel is having a Twilight Zone marathon today and all day tomorrow! WooHoo! I am in Twilight Zone HEAVEN. :D

The Obsolete Man is my #1 favorite Twilight Zone episode :)

Rod Serling intro: "You walk into this room at your own risk. Because it leads to the future. Not a future that will be, but one that might be. This is not a new world. It is simply an extension of what began in the old one. It has patterned itself after every dictator who has ever planted the ripping imprint of a boot on the pages of history since the beginning of time. It has refinements, technological advances and a more sophisticated approach to the destruction of human freedom. But like every one of the super States that preceeded it, it has one iron rule, LOGIC is an enemy and TRUTH is a menace."

Rod Serling closing statement: "The Chancellor, the late Chancellor was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so was the State, the Entity he worshipped. Any State, any Entity, any Ideology that FAILS to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of man, that State is obsolete. A case to be filed under M for MANKIND in the Twilight Zone.
This United Nations quote I shared with you above is an example of what Rod Serling was describing.

Now this Twilight Zone episode titled, To Serve Man, reminds me of the Global Warming/Climate Change scam perpetrated by the United Nations. I too was hoodwinked by the Global Warming campaign years ago. They used my love for nature and humankind to make me believe their garbage scientific data was meant to "save the planet". It wasn't until I took the time to do some digging of my own and found out who Maurice Strong is and was led to UN Agenda 21. I went to the United Nations website and read up on their Agenda 21 and I couldn't believe what I was reading directly from the source. My eyes were wide opened from that point on and left me feeling violated and betrayed by those people in positions of power who knowing better still pushed this scam upon the populace for their own personal gain.

I felt like the lady at the end of this Twilight Zone episode shouting, "Mr. Chamber's, Mr. Chamber's, don't get on that ship. The rest of the book, To Serve Man.... It's... It's a cook book."

Happy New Year WORLD! :D

Poem and Quotes to Kick Start Your New Year

Another fresh new year is here . . .
Another year to live!
To banish worry, doubt, and fear,
To love and laugh and give!

This bright new year is given me
To live each day with zest . . .
To daily grow and try to be
My highest and my best!

I have the opportunity
Once more to right some wrongs,
To pray for peace, to plant a tree,
And sing more joyful songs!

You Have A Unique Calling To Fulfill In This Lifetime; God Has A Purpose And Plan For You

Unique Calling

"Each person comes into this world with a specific destiny - he or she has something to fulfill, some message that has to be delivered, some work that has to be completed. Take These Thoughts With You On Your Journey To Your Dreams!

Take These Thoughts With You
On Your Journey To Your Dreams!
written by Jacqueline Schiff

Don't ever forget that you are unique.
Be your best self and not an imitation of someone else.

Find your strength and use them in a positive way.
Don't listen to those who ridicule the choices you make.

Travel the road that you have chosen and don't look back with regret.
You have to take chances to make your dreams happen.

Remember that there is plenty of time to travel another road
- and still another - in your journey through life.

Take the time to find the route that is right for you.
You will learn something valuable from every trip you take,
so don't be afraid to make mistakes.

Tell yourself that you're okay just the way you are.
Make friends who respect your true self.

Take the time to be alone, too,
so you can know just how terrific your own company can be.

Remember that being alone doesn't always mean being lonely;
it can be a beautiful experience of finding your creativity,
your heartfelt feelings, and the calm and quiet peace deep inside you.

Don't ever forget that you are special
and you have within you the ability to make your dreams come true.

The Boss ~ by Diana Ross ♥ I Included A Bonus Track/Vid For More INSPIRATION And To Let You Know That YOU ARE NOT ALONE! :)

My mom has always been a huge Diana Ross fan. I grew up listening to her albums and dancing in the living room with my mom. I was also fortunate enough as a child to experience Diana Ross live in concert with my mom on several occasions. Diana Ross would always wear the most beautiful elaborate gowns on stage and change gowns after every set. She would also walk out into the audience and shake everybody's hand. She always without fail LEFT ME MESMERIZED! Diana Ross is an AWESOME entertainer! Pure CLASS.

The Boss was a huge hit when it came out. Nevertheless, this is actually a very powerful spiritual song if you really choose to listen. God is LOVE. Therefore, God is The Boss! Creator and Source of ALL living things. Love to you all. Enjoy this song and lyrics! This was me. I can totally relate to this song, as I am sure many of you can as well or soon will. ♥

This is such an AWESOME song! I can't get enough of it tonight! :) This was not released as a spiritual song. It was a dance hit in 1979. The lyrics just have more meaning for me. ♥

The Boss ~ by Legendary Diana Ross

Fancy ME
Thought I had my degree
In life and how LOVE
Ought to be a run
I had a one step plan to prove it
Guide in my pocket for FOOLS
Folly and fun
LOVE had to show me ONE THING:

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE TAUGHT ME
Who was who was who was The Boss!
(Taught me who was who was The Boss)

I'D DEFY
Anyone who claimed that I
Didn't control whatever moved in MY SOUL
I could tempt
Touch delight
Just because you fell for me
Why should I feel uptight
LOVE had to show me ONE THING:

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE TAUGHT ME
Who was who was who was The Boss!
(Taught me who was who was The Boss)

LOVE TAUGHT ME
Taught ME
Taught ME
Taught ME

I was so right
So right
Thought I could turn emotion
On and off
I was so sure
So sure (I was so sure)
But LOVE TAUGHT ME
Who was who was who was The Boss!
(Taught me who was who was The Boss)

BONUS TRACK
God wants you to know: If you need me, call me. No matter where you are, no matter how far. Just call my name. I'll be there in a hurry. On that you can depend and never worry.

I know you must follow the sun. Wherever it leads. But remember. If you should fall short of your desires. Remember life holds for you one guarantee. You'll always have me. ♥

My Daily Prayer... ♥

I would like to share two of my daily prayer's with you. The first is one I received from Paula White Ministries 8 years ago. While the second is one that I personalized for myself. You are welcome to use these prayers. Soon your spirit will personalize one for you. You shall know the Truth when you seek God's face daily. I don't mean in the traditional sense. I mean spending time getting to know Him. You can start by talking with Him like you would a friend. He will guide you on your spiritual path as you grow closer and closer to Him. Allow God's LIGHT to permeate every fiber of your being and transform you from the inside out. "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind." [Romans 12:2] This has nothing to do with religion. This is about God, your Heavenly Father wanting to have a "personal" relationship with you. ♥

God is God all by Himself. The same is true for Jesus (Yahshua), the living breathing WORD of God and the Holy Spirit, the breath of God. God doesn't need a religious group or organization to make Him so. God almighty is above all and sovereign. God is Omnipotent, Omniscient, and Omnipresent. God is Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. God is INFINITE and ETERNAL.

The Power Of Prayer from Paula White Ministries

Dear Heavenly Father, I give You praise for my life and all that is in it. You are my Creator, my Provider, my Comforter and I worship You from the depths of my soul. My desire is to know You... to truly know You in an intimate way. Please grant me a mind filled with Spiritual wisdom and a heart that continues to long for You.

This is my prayer personalized...

Thank you God for loving me unconditionally. Thank you God for never giving up on me. Thank you God for always believing in me. Thank you God for taking care of all of my needs. I am an instrument of Your will LORD, use me for Your greater good. I am ready, willing and able to effect change on Your behalf. Awaken Your Spirit within me LORD. Lend me Your strength, Your courage and Your wisdom. I will continue to abide in Your WORD as your WORD continues to abide in me. You are my ROCK and my foundation! Your presence makes me feel unspeakable love and joy. Direct my steps LORD and connect me to the right people that are in line with Your will for my life. I will continue to Trust and Believe in You LORD. I love you. In Yahshua's precious name, AMEN!

I go on to pray, Jesus (Yahshua) please cleanse my spirit from all impurities, please purify me Lord, wash me in Your blood, cover me and protect me against all evil. Please fill my spirit with Your love, Your peace and Your joy. Lend me Your strength, courage and wisdom. AMEN!

God's Divine favor surrounds me like a shield! Amen. ♥

Characteristics of Self-Actualized People

Characteristics of Self-Actualized People
written by Kendra Cherry
[source: About]

Abraham Maslow proposed a hierarchy of needs that represented various needs that motivate human behavior. The hierarchy is often displayed as a pyramid, with lowest levels representing basic needs and more complex needs located at the top of the pyramid.

At the peak of this hierarchy is self-actualization. The hierarchy suggests that when the other needs at the base of the pyramid have been met, the individual can then focus their attention on this pinnacle need. Self-actualization is described as "…the desire for self-fulfillment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially."

Self-Acceptance and Democratic World View
Self-actualized people tend to accept themselves and others as they are. They tend to lack inhibition and are able to enjoy themselves and their lives free of guilt. Other people are treated the same regardless of background, current status or other socio-economic and cultural factors.

Realistic
Another major characteristic of self-actualized people is a sense of realism. Rather than being fearful of things that are different or unknown, the self-actualized individual is able to view things logically and rationally.

Problem-Centered
Self-actualized individuals are often motivated by a strong sense of personal ethics and responsibility. They enjoy solving real-world problems and are often concerned with helping other people improve their own lives.

Peak Experiences
Self-actualization is also characterized by having frequent peak experiences. What exactly is a peak experience? According to Maslow, these "Feelings of limitless horizons opening up to the vision, the feeling of being simultaneously more powerful and also more helpless than one ever was before, the feeling of ecstasy and wonder and awe, the loss of placement in time and space with, finally, the conviction that something extremely important and valuable had happened, so that the subject was to some extent transformed and strengthened even in his daily life by such experiences."

Autonomy
The self-actualized individual does not conform to other people's ideas of happiness or contentment. This original perspective allows the individual to live in the moment and appreciate the beauty of each experience.

Solitude and Privacy
Self-actualized individuals value their privacy and enjoy solitude. While they also love the company of others, taking time to themselves is essential for personal discovery and cultivating individual potential.

Philosophical Sense of Humor
Self-actualized individuals generally have a thoughtful sense of humor. They are able to enjoy the humor in situations and laugh at themselves, but they do not ridicule or make fun at the expense of another person's feelings.

Spontaneity
Another characteristic of self-actualized people is a tendency to be open, unconventional and spontaneous. While these people are able to follow generally accepted social expectations, they do not feel confined by these norms in their thoughts or behaviors.

Enjoy the Journey
While self-actualized people have concrete goals, they do not see things as simply a means to an end. The journey toward achieving a goal is just as important and enjoyable as actually accomplishing the goal.

The Way of the Warrior by John Cali and Spirit ♥

GREAT video message from "rules of the road" from John Cali and Spirit. Very uplifting and empowering. I typed a transcript below for for my international readers who need to translate and for those of you who can't view video. Enjoy! :)

Music by Sacred Spirit - Chants and Dances of the Native Americans.

*************************************************************

The Way of the Warrior is simple. However, as you have often heard me say, it may be simple but it's not always easy.

Rules of the Road. Today I would like to give you a few of my simple guidelines or "rules of the road" if you will. And that road is the Way of the Warrior.
  1. Speak Her Truth: The Warrior always speaks her truth - no matter what the circumstances.
  2. Detached: The Warrior is totally detached from what others think and say about her. This is absolutely necessary if she's going to observe the first rule above.
  3. See the Divinity: The Warrior always does her best to see the Divinity in all that is. In this way, she shall never have any desire to own, control, manipulate, misuse or abuse any of the Great Spirit's creatures.
  4. Follow the Highest Path: The Warrior always follows the highest path as dictated by the highest authority in the Universe ~ herself.
  5. Surrender to Life: The Warrior totally trusts in and surrenders to the flow of her life. She knows all is as it should be. Therefore, she must always completely trust in and surrender to her Higher Self, her Soul, the Great Spirit.
  6. All is Within: The Warrior knows all Love, all Wisdom, all Power lie within her - within her heart, her mind, her body, her Soul. There is nothing to seek, nothing to find, nowhere to go - except WITHIN.
  7. There Are No Mistakes: The Warrior knows with absolute certainty that she has never made a mistake - she can never make a mistake. All of her life is simply a lesson in this classroom called Planet Earth. She learns as she goes. All is as it should be.
  8. Don't Take Life Too seriously:  The Warrior never takes life too seriously. It's all a game, after all, a game in the classroom of Planet Earth. And games should be FUN. Enjoy the game, it won't last forever!
  9. Always Full Heart: The Warrior's heart is always full and always grateful. She never knows lack or emptiness. Except that is, when she creates those illusions by getting too infatuated with the Great Illusion - the human experience.
  10. Interesting Challenges: The Warrior knows the Great Illusion creates some highly interesting challenges. For example, the challenge to rise above the Great Illusion.
  11. The Great Illusion: As she rises above the Great Illusion, the Warrior knows this experience is as it should be, she has chosen it. And in this choosing, she is remembering her way back to the Light - back to her Home. That was the only reason for choosing the Great Illusion in the first place.
  12. Different Paths: The Warrior knows all her brothers and sisters on Planet Earth have the same destination she does - Home. But each may take a different path. And the Warrior knows that's okay! All will get Home - no matter what path they take. It cannot be otherwise, for all paths lead Home.
  13. The Way of the Wind: The Warrior knows the way of the wind. But she knows she cannot capture it - she cannot own it. She can love it, luxuriate in its presence, glory in its energy. But if she tries to capture it, it becomes something other than what it truly is... it becomes still and stagnant air. She can never possess it completely - unless she refuses to ever own it - unless she refuses to ever have sovereignty over it. She can possess it ONLY by letting it be free - by letting it be what it is.
  14. It cannot be otherwise. The Way of the Warrior IS The Way of the Wind.

The Way of the Spiritual Warrior - What is Your Spiritual Path? WOW! I Just Came Across This Amazing Written Piece I'd Like To Share With You! I'm Deeply Moved ♥ Re-post 11/15/10

The Way of the Spiritual Warrior - What is Your Spiritual Path?

Does the term "spiritual" seem inappropriate combined with the idea of a warrior? There is a spiritual tradition in many cultures that describes the warrior of the higher path. The Tibetans, Buddhists and Yaqui Indians are most known for this description of the spiritual journey. In today's New Age Daanan Perry writes and speaks about the Warrior of the Heart, this very concept, and so does Dan Millman in his "The Way of Peaceful Warrior". I love that book! It is the book that got me started on this path of mine and is a HUGE reason why I do what I do now - sharing the greater light and wisdom that is available to all of us.

The Spiritual Warrior braves hardships, loneliness and ridicule to help others, improve the world and live the spiritual way. The path of Spiritual Warrior includes having the courage to know yourself - looking at or into the dark sides of yourself and its hidden shadows. Being a Spiritual Warrior means having the courage to face our own fears and create change in our lives. The Buddhists know it takes courage to stay committed and follow the eight fold path to enlightenment. The American Indians make decisions for the tribe by remembering and being responsible for seven future generations.

The average human lives either avoiding conflict to keep life nice and pleasurable or, in "fighting for control of life" by stepping on others, beating them out and getting Earth's treasures for the ego self. This flight or fight response to life's situations has created victor tyrants and abused victims, neither are happy or feeling complete and satisfied within. We see this in our homes and around the world between nations and races. Doing what "seems" expedient for the now - beating someone up physically/emotionally or retreating and avoiding conflict - only leaves the problem to continue. The spiritual path includes working to solve problems for all time!

But don't be deluded into thinking that we will get rid of conflict on our learning path. Conflict is a constant challenge facing us all. It will continue to be so as long as we have something to understand and learn or until we no longer wish to give the gift of helping others. Conflict is especially more pronounced in the life of a Spiritual Warrior because he or she has chosen and committed to a life of growth, transformation, helping others and creating a greater quality life. Being on Earth is conflict - we are powerful infinite spiritual beings experiencing an infinite limiting physical world. If darkness does not exist, there will be no great appreciation of Light. The conflict between darkness and light will always "be", but it only you and me that can choose how we want to feel.

If there's one thing you will remember and integrate into every cell of your body and mind, it is this - "LET US STOP EQUATING CONFLICT WITH SUFFERING". Conflict in life is a way to stretch our spiritual, mental, emotional and even physical strength. It is a call to growth and learning. A warrior answers the challenge and moves forward despite seeming difficulties. If we say we want to learn, we have taken up the banner of warrior. But let us be loving wise warriors working (not fighting) for good for all unto the seventh generation.

To eliminate suffering we can follow the Buddhist eight fold path of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration.

Buddha taught, "Now, the cessation of suffering is to cease from attachment. Attachment originates in craving, and craving originates in ignorance. To cease from suffering, cease from attachment; to cease from attachment, cease from craving; to cease from craving, cease from ignorance."

The eternal conflict is learn and grow or suffer. The path of the spiritual warrior includes surrender of personal ego to spiritual direction, surrender of what no longer serves you or Spirit, surrender of what is no longer true, surrender of what isn't loving and surrender of ignorance so we can be wise. On this path we will risk being misunderstood, hurt, not looking good or even feeling foolish. It means being willing to be a "learner" or "beginner" in life no matter what our earthly age.

The Avatars of this world were (and still are) spiritual warriors, as are our cultural heroes of every era. By joining the group of spiritual warriors today we work to help our own progress, we support others in what is good and we bless the world (and all the Universe).

The Sky Full of Stars... What More Do You Need?

This beautiful message below should help you put things into perspective. But I would also like to share one of my own personal messages that helped me in my early 20's. My boss/mentor used to always remind me "Don't sweat the small stuff." To which I would ask, "What is the small stuff?" and he would replied, "EVERYTHING." :)

The Sky Full of Stars... What More Do You Need?

Misery is an indication that you are going astray, a natural indication that you have lost track of truth. Bliss simply says that you are falling in line with the whole. Things are becoming harmonious, the garden of the Beloved is coming closer: the air feels cooler, winds bring the fragrance of the flowers, freshness, a new thrill, a new enthusiasm. Then you are moving towards the garden of the Beloved. Maybe you cannot see yet, but the direction is right.

Sometimes it happens that you become one, in some rare moment. Watch the ocean, the tremendous wildness of it -- and suddenly you forget your split, your schizophrenia; you relax. Or, moving in the Himalayas, seeing the virgin snow on the Himalaya peaks, suddenly a coolness surrounds you and you need not be false because there is no other human being to be false to. You fall together. Or, listening to beautiful music, you fall together. Whenever, in whatsoever situation, you become one, a peace, a happiness, a bliss, surrounds you, arises in you. You feel fulfilled. There is no need to wait for these moments -- these moments can become your natural life. These extraordinary moments can become ordinary moments -- that is the whole effort of Zen.

Don't wait for some great bliss to descend on you. It never happens. Great bliss is nothing but small pleasures accumulating in your being. The total of all the small pleasures is the great bliss. Eating, enjoy it. Drinking, enjoy it. Taking a bath, enjoy it. Walking, enjoy it. Such a beautiful world, such a beautiful morning, such beautiful clouds... what else do you need to celebrate? The sky full of stars... what more do you need to be prayerful? The sun rising from the east...what more do you need to bow down? And amidst a thousand and one thorns a small roseflower arises, opening its buds, so fragile, so vulnerable, yet so strong, so ready to fight with the wind, with the lightning, with the thunderings. Look at the courage... what more do you need to understand trust?

The Great Awakening... ♥ Re-Post From 9/12/10

What an AMAZING message!!! Absolutely LOVED IT! ♥ Thanks to my dear friend Jeanette for sharing this video message with me! :)
Life is not a prison, it is a school. You are sent here to learn, you are sent here to grow. You are sent here to become more conscious, more AWARE.

The more you are moving towards your life’s fulfillment, the more your life becomes a rejoicing, a deep joy for no reason at all, a blissfulness so deep and so abundant that you can start sharing it with others. In fact, you have to share it with others because it is overflowing, you cannot contain it. ~ by Osho
I was asked earlier today if I was a follower of Osho. My answer is no, I'm not a follower of anybody on this terrestrial plane. I am connected to my Source, the Creator of all living beings. God supplies me with all that I am in need of each and every day. I enjoy reading what Osho has to share, his take on life and spirituality. Just like many others that I respect who are beautiful souls that have inspired me but I do not follow. This kind of teaching is positive food/nourishment for our spirit. It's important to care for ourselves regularly: mind body and spirit. What we take in shows through. Our thoughts and feelings create our reality. That is why it is important that we are CONSCIOUS of what we are feeding our senses. Balance is the KEY.
A person experiences life as something separated from the rest - a kind of optical delusion of consciousness. Our task must be to free ourselves from this self-imposed prison, and through compassion, to find the reality of Oneness.~ by Albert Einstein
I received this pretty awesome message today through a facebook application called Message from God that I want to share with you. Perhaps this is something you need to hear. "On this day, God wants you to know... that change is the very nature of life, - welcome it. No glass ever became sand again; No bread ever became wheat; No ripened fruit ever became a flower. Welcome change, and choose what kind of glass you create, what kind of bread you bake, what kind of fruit you harvest."

I'm soooo ready! and so the creating and transformation continues... I embrace it. Thank you God for giving me the ability to enjoy the constant growing reshaping refining process through You. Amen. ♥

We Can Learn A Thing Or Two From Noah's Ark!

Noah's Ark

1. Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.
2. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone might ask you to do something REALLY big.
3. Don't listen to critics -- do what has to be done.
4. Build on high ground.
5. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
6. Two heads are better than one.
7. Speed isn't always an advantage. The cheetahs were on board, but so were the snails.
8. If you can't fight or flee -- float!

I'd like to share an exchange I had with a friend after I posted this message on Facebook. Perhaps some of you may be asking the same question.

Thomas: @Josette, I guess Noah had a platypus on the boat. So, why is that they are only in one area of the world?

Josette (Me): @Thomas, I don't know. Why don't you ask God and then let me know what you find out. ;)

Thomas: @Josette, Same thing with the whales and the dolphins? I just asking you Jo? Apparently you may have some inside information that I don't.

Josette: @Thomas, why would you say that "I may have some inside information that you don't?" I wasn't there. But like I said since it's important for you to have this question answered just ask God yourself.

Josette: @Thomas, while I was writing my last comment it came to me... Noah built the Ark because God warned of an imminent flood that would engulf the whole earth right? Well I guess it would be safe to say that ALL water creatures were SAFE and didn't need to be kept in Noah's Ark.

Thomas: @Josette, thank God you know that stuff!

1 After this I heard what sounded like a mighty shout of a great crowd in heaven, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! Salvation and glory (splendor and majesty) and power (dominion and authority) [belong] to our God!

2 Because His judgments (His condemnation and punishment, His sentences of doom) are true and sound and just and upright. He has judged (convicted, pronounced sentence, and doomed) the great and notorious harlot (idolatress) who corrupted and demoralized and poisoned the earth with her lewdness and adultery (idolatry). And He has avenged (visited on her the penalty for) the blood of His servants at her hand.

3 And again they shouted, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! The smoke of her [burning] shall continue to ascend forever and ever (through the eternities of the eternities).

4 Then the twenty-four elders [of the heavenly Sanhedrin] and the four living creatures fell prostrate and worshiped [paying divine honors to] God, Who sits on the throne, saying, Amen! Hallelujah (praise the Lord)!

5 Then from the throne there came a voice, saying, Praise our God, all you servants of His, you who reverence Him, both small and great!

6 After that I heard what sounded like the shout of a vast throng, like the boom of many pounding waves, and like the roar of terrific and mighty peals of thunder, exclaiming, Hallelujah (praise the Lord)! For now the Lord our God the Omnipotent (the All-Ruler) reigns!

7 Let us rejoice and shout for joy [exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come, and His bride has prepared herself.

8 She has been permitted to dress in fine (radiant) linen, dazzling and white—for the fine linen is (signifies, represents) the righteousness (the upright, just, and godly living, deeds, and conduct, and right standing with God) of the saints (God’s holy people).

9 Then [the angel] said to me, Write this down: Blessed (happy, to be envied) are those who are summoned (invited, called) to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me [further], These are the true words (the genuine and exact declarations) of God.

10 Then I fell prostrate at his feet to worship (to pay divine honors) to him, but he [restrained me] and said, Refrain! [You must not do that!] I am [only] another servant with you and your brethren who have [accepted and hold] the testimony borne by Jesus. Worship God! For the substance (essence) of the truth revealed by Jesus is the spirit of all prophecy [the vital breath, the inspiration of all inspired preaching and interpretation of the divine will and purpose, including both mine and yours].

The Heavenly Warrior Defeats the Beast

11 After that I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse [appeared]! The One Who was riding it is called Faithful (Trustworthy, Loyal, Incorruptible, Steady) and True, and He passes judgment and wages war in righteousness (holiness, justice, and uprightness).

12 His eyes [blaze] like a flame of fire, and on His head are many kingly crowns (diadems); and He has a title (name) inscribed which He alone knows or can understand.

13 He is dressed in a robe dyed by dipping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God.

14 And the troops of heaven, clothed in fine linen, dazzling and clean, followed Him on white horses.

15 From His mouth goes forth a sharp sword with which He can smite (afflict, strike) the nations; and He will shepherd and control them with a staff (scepter, rod) of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fierceness of the wrath and indignation of God the All-Ruler (the Almighty, the Omnipotent).

16 And on His garment (robe) and on His thigh He has a name (title) inscribed:

king of kings and lord of lords.

17 Then I saw a single angel stationed in the sun’s light, and with a mighty voice he shouted to all the birds that fly across the sky, Come, gather yourselves together for the great supper of God,

18 That you may feast on the flesh of rulers, the flesh of generals and captains, the flesh of powerful and mighty men, the flesh of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all humanity, both free and slave, both small and great!

19 Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against Him Who is mounted on the horse and against His troops.

20 And the beast was seized and overpowered, and with him the false prophet who in his presence had worked wonders and performed miracles by which he led astray those who had accepted or permitted to be placed upon them the stamp (mark) of the beast and those who paid homage and gave divine honors to his statue. Both of them were hurled alive into the fiery lake that burns and blazes with brimstone.

21 And the rest were killed with the sword that issues from the mouth of Him Who is mounted on the horse, and all the birds fed ravenously and glutted themselves with their flesh.

Jesus' Priesthood Never Curses; Jesus’ High Priesthood Is Forever

And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek." Hebrews 5:9-10

When Jesus died and rose again, He became our High Priest. But notice that Jesus' priesthood is "according to the order of Melchizedek". Why the Melchizedek priesthood?

The Melchizedek priesthood gives to man (whereas the Aaronic priesthood takes from man). We see this when Melchizedek gave bread and wine to refresh a tired Abraham after his battle with the enemy kings. (Genesis 14:14-20) So if Jesus' priesthood is according to the Melchizedek order, then it is one in which we can come boldly into His presence to receive from Him! (Hebrews 4:16)

The Melchizedek Order

Moreover, the first word from Melchizedek's mouth was "Blessed" - "Blessed be Abram…" (Genesis 14:19) The Melchizedek order is just that - blessings. In other words, Jesus' priesthood is one which blesses and never curses us!

So are we conscious of Jesus our High Priest giving to us every day? Are we alert to all His blessings coming from heaven toward us on earth?

Now, it is easy for us to believe God for His blessings in creation. For example, we have no difficulty believing that the sun will rise every morning. But while we have no problems believing the work of creation, we have problems believing the work of redemption. We sometimes find it hard to believe God for healing, prosperity, favor, protection or restoration - blessings that Jesus died to give us. We don't really believe that every day, the Lord will take care of us, keep our bodies healthy and provide for all our needs.

Yet, creation is fallen. It can be a blessing as well as a curse. Sometimes, a storm arises, and powerful winds and rains destroy thousands of homes and lives. Sometimes, dark clouds hide the sun and make the whole day gloomy.

My friend, we can't put our trust in creation, but we can certainly put our trust in redemption. And unlike creation, the blessings of redemption are all good! The work of Jesus is not subject to the weather or anything else. The work of redemption is as sure as Jesus Himself. He died and rose again to be our High Priest who daily showers us with blessings!

… Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Hebrews 6:20
Jesus is our High Priest forever. This “forever” aspect changes the way we are blessed and how we receive our blessings from God. As our High Priest, Jesus represents us before God. Since His priesthood is after the order of Melchizedek, which is one of righteousness, His righteousness becomes our righteousness forever. This means that we are forever righteous in God’s eyes!

And because He will never die, but continue as our High Priest forever, we have an everlasting righteousness, not merely a here-today-gone-tomorrow righteousness based on our works. No, we have a perpetual and everlasting righteousness because Jesus is our High Priest forever.

This also means that blessings are perpetually on your head because the Bible says that blessings are on the head of the righteous (Proverbs 10:6), and you are righteous forever!

Unlike the priesthood according to the Levitical order, which blesses as well as curses, the priesthood of Jesus according to the Melchizedek order only blesses. There is no cursing, only blessing — always and forever!

And because Jesus is our High Priest forever, the blessings do not come to us in intermittent drips, but stream into our lives in a never-ending flow. Because He is our High Priest forever, we can never stop His blessings.

By being our High Priest forever, Jesus also touches the blessings that He gives us with a forever effect. He touches our lives and we have eternal life. He touches our ministry and its impact becomes eternal. And the more we see His priesthood as having a forever effect, the more permanent our blessings will be.

Truly, there is nothing temporal about what Jesus our High Priest does. It is not a case of blessed today, cursed tomorrow. The blessings we receive are sure and steadfast because Jesus is our High Priest today, tomorrow and forever.

So rejoice because Jesus your High Priest changes how you are blessed forever!

Jesus (Yahshua) is an (Eternal High) Priest in the Order of Melchizedek

(Hebrews 5:6)
written by Juli Camarin

“And he says in another place, “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” ( Hebrews 5:6 )
Not only did God appoint Christ and exalt Him with the honor of becoming our High Priest, he also appointed Him a rank in the order of Melchizedek. This is extremely significant as human standards would never have allowed Jesus this position. And yet, God is the one who appointed Him as eternal High Priest after this order. There was a reason God prophesied these very words through David, "The LORD has sworn and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” ( Psalm 110:4 ). To understand this, we must look at who Melchizedek was and how Jesus is like him.

This account is found in Genesis 14. Abraham had just defeated the four kings and rescued Lot from their hand. As he is returning Melchizedek, the priest comes and blesses Abraham. "Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.” Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything." ( Genesis 14:18-20 ). In this short account we see a priest of God bless Abraham and he responds by giving him one tenth of all of his possessions. What is interesting is that the Law, with its priestly regulations wasn't introduced for another 430 years during the time of Moses and yet from the beginning there existed a priest of God Most High.

Hebrews 7 gives much more detail about this. "This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, his name means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, like the Son of God he remains a priest forever." ( Hebrews 7:1-3 ). A lot of mystery surrounds this priest as he has no record of beginning, end or genealogy. Without these records, one could say he has always and will always exist. Known as both the king of righteousness and the king of peace, these names are descriptive of who he was.

Jesus shares the same attributes attributed to Melchizedek in Hebrews 7. First, he was appointed by God. The previous verses states,“No one takes this honor upon himself; he must be called by God, just as Aaron was. So Christ also did not take upon himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him, “You are my Son; today I have become your Father.” ( Hebrews 5:4-5 ). Secondly, we see through Jesus' recorded genealogy his eternal existence. Matthew gives an account of Joseph's line. Luke gives an account of Mary's line, but John gives his genealogy as eternal God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning." ( John 1:1-2 ). Lastly, the names given to Melchizedek were also given to Jesus. It was Isaiah who prophesied that Jesus would be called prince of peace ( Isaiah 9:6 ). And the author of Hebrews, quoting from the Psalm stated that righteousness would be the scepter of his kingdom ( Hebrews 1:8, Psalm 45:6-7 ).

This is important to us because our faith rests in Jesus and the finished work of the cross. Our faith rests in the fact that he is alive and seated in heaven interceding on our behalf. "Because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them." ( Hebrews 7:24-25 ). This is why it is important to understand how Jesus is a priest after the order and with the rank of Melchizedek. "And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. For it is declared: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” ( Hebrews 7:15-17 ). Jesus is able to save completely those to come to in Him in faith because he is alive and resides permanently as our High Priest of the Most High God.

Melchizedeck and Christ, The Levitical Priesthood

Hebrews 7
written by Warren E. Berkley
[source: The Expository Files]

Right in the middle of the Hebrew epistle there is a lengthy passage about a man named Melchizedek. And the affirmation that comes from this discussion is: Christ is a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.

"For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated "king of righteousness," and then also king of Salem, meaning "king of peace," without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.

Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils. And indeed those who are of the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment to receive tithes from the people according to the law, that is, from their brethren, though they have come from the loins of Abraham; but he whose genealogy is not derived from them received tithes from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

Now beyond all contradiction the lesser is blessed by the better. Here mortal men receive tithes, but there he receives them, of whom it is witnessed that he lives. Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak, for he was still in the loins of his father when Melchizedek met him.

Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron? For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law. For He of whom these things are spoken belongs to another tribe, from which no man has officiated at the altar. For it is evident that our Lord arose from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. And it is yet far more evident if, in the likeness of Melchizedek, there arises another priest who has come, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life. For He testifies: "You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek"." Heb. 7:1-17, NKJ.

A reading of this passage that isn't accompanied by a lot of deliberate study may leave the reader somewhat confused. There is this mysterious man, Melchizedek; he is somehow connected to Christ being High Priest; this is not the same as the Levitical priesthood... What is this all about? To deal with this, we must begin with some background.

A NEW ORDER WAS BEING INTRODUCED

In the days of the apostles, most of the Jews were bothered by the idea that with Christ and His apostles, a new order was being introduced. This means the old order was finished. This was a troubling thing to Jews who heard the gospel. Even some - after being baptized - still raised questions and entertained doubt in regard to this change from the old to the new.

Under the new order circumcision could not be bound as an essential to please God; the sacrifices and rituals of the law were no longer necessary or appropriate and Gentiles were being accepted into God's favor.

These changes disturbed most Jews. And some who had obeyed the gospel were being tempted to fall back... that is, to return to the old order of things (Old Testament Judaism, based on the traditions and enforcements of the Pharisees). The accusers of Stephen said, among other things, "...we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and change the customs which Moses delivered to us," (Acts 6:14). The very idea of change or the notion of the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple -- these things were utterly repugnant to the Jews. And militant Pharisees like Saul of Tarsus were disturbed to the point of action (persecution).

So, much teaching and writing had to be done through the apostles to explain these things to the Jews, and fortify them against apostasy. This is the kind of teaching there is in Romans chapters nine through eleven; also, in the books of Galatians and Hebrews. Inspired writers labored to convince the Jews - "there is made of necessity a change also of the law."

THE OFFICE OF HIGH PRIEST

The Jews placed stress on the office of High Priest, for it was through these men that the people had, for many generations, their access to God.

I think it could be said, many of the Hebrew people who had converted to Christianity missed the Levitical priests. No doubt, some of them were being tempted to go back to that old system.

Yet, the Hebrew writer sent them the message: YOU HAVE SOMETHING BETTER! He teaches them that Christ was "made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people," (2:17). "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus," (3:1). "Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need," (4:14-16).

In the first ten verses of Hebrews five, the inspired writer shows that in every respect, Jesus Christ is qualified to be High Priest. And, in fact, God had put Christ in this position. God had said: "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek," (see Psa. 110:4; Heb. 5:6). [After making this affirmation, the writer went into a discussion about the condition his readers were in; they were "dull of hearing," see 5:11-6:19. He returns to his teaching concerning Melchizedek in chapter seven.]

Thus, the primary affirmation of this section of the Hebrew epistle is: Jesus became high priest forever according to the order of Melchizedeck.

BUT, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

It means that Christ was not a High Priest, as in Aaron and the Levitical order (according to the law of Moses). The High Priesthood of Jesus Christ -- the writer is affirming -- is of a higher order! Christ was and is a High Priest like Melchizedek; not like Aaron or Levi. Note the following:

1. Melchizedek's position as High Priest was not dependent on ancestry... neither was Christ's. (7:14).

2. Melchizedek was not in a succession of many priests... neither is Christ. (7:3).

3. Melchizedek's priesthood was higher than and separate from the Levitical order... so is Christ's. (7:4-7).

4. Melchizedek was priest and king... so is Christ! (See Zech. 6:9-15).

5. Melchizedek received tribute from Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation; this shows the superiority of Melchizedek's priesthood above the Levitical (which came out of the loins of Abraham). {See Gen. 14:18-20 with Heb. 7:4}.

CONCLUSION

All of this was set up, executed and revealed by God, for the purpose of convincing the Jews - their old Levitical priesthood was now history. The broader point of application was: Their old law was now abrogated. For the Levitical priesthood and the old law were bound together; one was a subordinate part of the other. Thus it followed -- if the priesthood is changed, "there is made of necessity a change also of the law," (Heb. 7:12).

For us what does this mean? It means that the law of Moses is not binding today. And it means that we have a high priest (access to God)! "For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens. Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's; for this he did once, when he offered up himself." (Heb. 7:26-27).

"Wherefore, he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them," (Heb. 7:25).
