Full Moon is Sunday, December 3 at 8:46AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
This Super Moon is an opportunity for a good reality check and a time to tell the truth about what you know to be true, not what someone else tells you is true, but what you, yourself know. It is a good day to discuss and share dreams of the future, intentions, solutions to problems, and everything you can imagine for yourself. A full moon is always expansive. Use the expansiveness to fuel your imagination and creativity but do not get scattered.
As the theme for December is UPGRADE, this is also a good time to make an inventory of what you wish to upgrade. The decisions to change something in your life will use this full moon energy to take hold and begin the process. Try not to spend time in frustration or disappointment in self or others as you make your list. Be neutral. Negative feelings about what needs to change are never useful. Think instead about how fabulous the upgrade will be. Spend some time in nature today and begin putting some practices in place to open your senses.
Mercury has gone retrograde and it is best if you are fairly well organized with your schedule for the next three weeks (with room for flexibility of course).

Gemini Full Moon

Mutable signs predominate now, Sagittarius, Gemini, Pisces (Virgo) where we change, shift, grow into a new phase, integrate all we take in; we learn and adapt to what is happening to us now. To remain flexible while changing and adapting, asks for periods of rest and then growth while we seek a new balance.
Gemini Full Moon is a Super Moon meaning closest to the Earth and strengthening the qualities of this mental, air sign. Gemini is known for its inquisitive nature, witty charm, ability to communicate and gather information in a neutral, non-judgmental way. Gemini rules the nervous system and as the sign of the Twins, our paired body parts ~ arms, hands, shoulders, lungs. Mercury is the ruler here, and Mercury is traveling with Saturn lending The Messenger of the Gods weight, gravitas, purpose and a honed objective in what is witnessed and communicated. This might be the Moon of ‘reality check’ or the check might come due. Saturn and Mercury are traversing a powerful portal – the Galactic Center at 27º Sagittarius with this Full Moon. We are assessing our karma, our purpose here on planet Earth, and downloading a new vision of the future. The greatest gift of Sagittarius is helping us lift our eyes to the far horizon and using the mutability of elemental fire to forge and coalesce an inspired new dream. We are so ready!
In the Northern Hemisphere as our solar light contracts moving rapidly toward solstice, it’s a good time to be focused inwardly as we listen with every cell of our bodies to the wisdom that is being offered from the heart of our Milky Way Galaxy. We can look forward to next New Moon cycle when the Sun and Moon also travel across this same Galactic Center point for more personal guidance and direction. Those in the Southern Hemisphere can use their time of solar increase to throw open their hearts and expand all the way to the deep center of the galaxy.
To my mind’s eye, a considerable amount of tension is focused around Juno, Queen of Heaven, asteroid goddess of our partnering self, where we find satisfaction in the dance of co-creating, where personal strength and power that comes from within is shown to be so much stronger than seeking status or validation in the changing circumstances of the outer world. What will you learn about your personal power, how you partner and where you find disempowerment in your life? With Juno as the center of a T-Square with Mars and Uranus, we have some major tension and volatility here. There is rebellion and direct action, and unexpected shift in our masculine/feminine alignments. Juno is also involved in one of two formations called ‘Thor’s Hammer’ that is focused through the Full Moon adding a strong emotional element centered on unmet or unspoken needs, the push to stand up for yourself and patterns that need to be shattered.
Mars, our action-taking masculine energy, is opposite Uranus, and two feminine heavies – Eris and Pallas Athena, flank Uranus. These two are really into social justice and standing up for those getting trampled by anyone abusing their power. Power scales are shifting.
Starting on December 2-3, Mercury stops and begins to move retrograde hovering over the 29th degree of Sagittarius for four days as it slowly takes us on a more inward journey moving to 13º Sag before beginning to move forward on December 22 until it reaches 29º again on January 10. Mercury in Sagittarius giving us additional opportunity to clear our minds of preconceived concepts and beliefs, traversing the Galactic Center two more times (Dec 7 and Jan 8) and inviting us to look to the future with optimism and inspiration for a new way of living together on this planet. We’ve got helpers here people! Mercury, the Sun and the Moon, Saturn, and then Venus (that’s all this month), and Mars in March all passing over and guiding us to use the Galactic Center for expanding our vision of what we want to create for our future.
What’s on your list? New sources of cheap renewable energy, cultural diversity, peace, realignment of healing and health care, inclusion of the wisdom of the feminine, the Earth, the indigenous, or respect for the oceans – an endless list – so much to envision! What a great assignment! Time for a galactic vision quest.
Purring in the background, we have the joy of Jupiter trine Neptune (11ºScorpio/Pisces); trines serve up ease and grace. A plum in the holiday pie, this configuration is based in the feminine, water signs and heightens intuition, synchrony, alchemy, miracles and imagination. We see this trine now and in May and August 2018. We strengthen our experience of the web of life where ‘all is connected, conscious and sacred’. Boundaries are blurred especially to the upper worlds, the inner and higher realms are made more accessible, and our dreams and the imaginal world are more vivid.
