Something's Coming ♥ The 1961 Timeless Classic, West Side Story is on KCET! :)

I'm sitting here at home relaxing getting ready to watch the 1961 timeless classic, West Side Story movie musical, on KCET channel. While I like Tony's version of this song, I had to share Barbra's version with you. Why you ask? Well... because I am a huge Barbra Streisand fan for those of you who don't know. 😊 I needed some inspiration and this song was the ticket!

So many great songs came out of this movie. Be forewarned, this movie is a tearjerker, and the story mirrors the never changing human condition.

Life may seem a bit confusing at times and we may not be where we would like to be yet. But that doesn't mean we can't still be happy. So we might as well relax and play some amazing feel good music in the midst of it... ;) We may not be able to fully control the situation around us, but we can control how we choose to respond to it, right! Let's celebrate. Let's get excited about life again and what our future holds. ;)

This is such a GREAT song!!! YES SOMETHING GREAT IS COMING, I CAN FEEL IT IN MY BONES!!! The person who made this video did an AMAZING JOB! "The video includes a crossover motion picture presenting Babra's acting and performing career from 1961 to 1985."

Something's Coming ~ by Barbra Streisand
from the American musical West Side Story
Music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

Could be?
Who knows?
There's something due any day
I will know, right away
Soon as it shows

It may come connanballing down
Through the sky
Gleam in its eye, bright as rose
Who knows?

It's only just out of reach
Down the block, on the beach
Under a tree

I got a feeling there's a miracle due
Gonna come true, comin' to me...

Could it be, yes it could
Something's comin', something good
If i can wait

Something's comin'
I don't know what it is
But it is gonna be GREAT

With a click, with a shock
Phone'll jingle, door will knock
Open the latch

Something's comin'
Don't know when
But it's soon
Catch the moon
One handed catch

Around the corner
Or whistlin' down the river
Come on, deliver to me

Will it be, yes it will
Maybe just by holding still
It'll be there

Come on, something
Come on in
Don't be shy
Meet a guy
Pull up a chair

The air is humming
And something GREAT is coming

I feel like drumming
And something GREAT is coming
Who knows?

It's only just out of reach
Down the block, on a beach
Maybe tonight...
Maybe tonight...
Maybe tonight...!

Somewhere
I pray that all of the fighting and violence stops.😒
from the American musical, West Side Story
Music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim

Someday, somewhere
We'll find a new way of living
We'll find a way of forgiving
Somewhere...
There's a place for us
Somewhere a place for us
Peace and quiet and open air
Wait for us
Somewhere
