Sister Moon, in her full face, was shining high in the western dark night sky lighting the path to the Star Temple with silvery shadows. Snowy Owl and Shooting Star felt a sense of excitement as they climbed the path for this Full Moon ceremony. They had been to the Shaman’s cave earlier and he told them this was a very special Moon celebration. This was the night of the Red Moon.

The sisters sat in the center of the Sacred Circle and watched Sister Moon slowly sail the dark skies. Then her southern limb entered the Earth’s shadow and appeared orangey red. Deeper and deeper the Moon entered the shadow until she was totally immersed in it and was a rich crimson colour. She was an awesome vision.

Sister Moon spoke “This Full Moon completes the lessons of the last six Moon cycles. The theme has been to focus on what is of true value and importance in life and release what is not. As I told you at the New Moon ceremony new beginnings are at hand but first you must release what blocks you from courageously following the new path.”

Sister Moon continued her message “I have two companions travelling with me. The first is the Wanderer called The Awakener. He is here to help the two leggeds break free from old patterns of behaviour that do not serve the greater good. In the far away time this is what needs to happen as there is much stress and conflicting energy. He is supporting the human kingdom to breakthrough to a new way of being. The second companion is a Starry One in the Constellation of Andromeda. Her message is to strive for new ideas to be accepted to create a better and different world. Together they are asking the human mind to release struggle and conflict and embrace harmony and peace. New beginnings are on the horizon and the old ways will no longer be allowed. The time of change is now. My companions and I ask that you, Snowy Owl and Shooting Star, spread this message to all who are ready to awaken to the new way and to those who are still asleep. The time of change is now!!!”

The sisters watched as Luna began to sink below the western horizon, the place of personal responsibility and empowerment, and they knew they would answer the call. The time of change was now.

Full Moons symbolize the time of completion. When it is a Lunar Eclipse it is even more powerful. In our recent posts we have talked about the lesson we have all been learning since late April. The lesson of identifying what is of true value and importance in our lives and releasing what is not. The time for release is the next two weeks. We have mentioned the next four Moon cycles are about new beginnings. At this Full Moon Eclipse make a commitment to let go of what no longer serves you so you can focus on the new inspired beginnings you want to manifest during the next 4 Moon Cycles. Just to remind you they are the New Moon Eclipse of transformation at 00 degrees Scorpio on Oct 23/24 (depending on your time zone), the New Moon of spiritual consciousness at 00 degrees Sagittarius on Nov 22, the New Moon of Soul Purpose and personal empowerment at 00 degrees Capricorn on Dec 21, and the New Moon of sharing your spiritual gifts with the world at 00 degrees Aquarius on Jan 20, 2015. These truly are new beginnings but we are being asked to shed the old in ways that allow the new to manifest.

Full Moons are oppositions. The Moon at 15 degrees of Aries (self) is opposite the Sun at 15 degrees of Libra (other). The lesson is to find a balance between the two. That balance is found within. When you are at harmony within the self that is the energy you will attract. The traditional ruler for the Moon in Aries is Mars. He is currently at 16 degrees of Sagittarius and is the spiritual warrior. He forms a Grand Fire Trine (spiritual awakening) with Jupiter at 17 degrees Leo (creation power) and the Moon at 15 degrees Aries (the authentic self). The traditional ruler for the Sun in Libra is Venus currently at 10 degrees Libra conjunct the Sun. She is the harmonizer of the Universe but she is also square (finding new ways of being) Pluto at 11 degrees Capricorn (transformative power). Usually the square aspect is very challenging but this one helps us to release old patterns that keep us stuck. In fact if we look at this as an event chart Pluto is also square the Full Moon so the power for transformation is strong.

The Soul Centered ruler of the Moon in Aries is Mercury retrograde at 01 degrees Scorpio. Again transformation is the key. He is trine (harmony) Neptune at 05 degrees Pisces (spiritual power and help from the Universe). Mercury asks us to look deeply within and heal old wounds so we can release old patterns. The Soul Centered ruler for the Sun in Libra is Uranus currently at 14 degrees Aries travelling with the Moon. He too is retrograde asking us to embrace inner change on a deep level. The fact he is conjunct the Moon means we have the power to break free from emotional wounding and breakthrough to our authentic selves. In fact he too is square Pluto and gives us a preview of what to expect at the exact Uranus square Pluto on Dec 14/15, 2014. This transformational breakthrough lesson has been with us since June 2012 and will continue until March/April 2015.

Uranus travelling with the Moon is very significant. He is the planet of breaking through old patterns and breaking free. But his influence can also be erratic and chaotic. With Uranus the message is “expect the unexpected”. Let’s hope the world will experience breakthrough and not “break down”. The Starry One our story mentioned is Alpheratz in the astronomical Constellation of Andromeda, the princess. This star’s current celestial longitude is 14 degrees Aries 31 minutes. Uranus is at 14 degrees Aries 29 minutes. When these two are linked together the message is to strive for new ideas to be accepted to create a better world. The Universe always supports us if we would only listen.

The Animal Totems who guide us for the Moon in Aries are Falcon, clear vision, and Red Tailed Hawk, spiritual messages. For the Sun in Libra they are Crow, sacred law and fairness for all, and Raven, the magic of the mysteries. The Clan Mother for Aries is Looks Far Woman, she is the guardian of seeing the truth. The Clan Mother for Libra is Weaves The Web, she is the guardian of working with the truth. You can find their stories in The 13 Original Clan Mothers and Earth Medicine both by Jamie Sams.

Aries is found on the Tarot Constellation of The Emperor, life force and realization of power. Uranus and Scorpio are also part of this Constellation. Aries is a 7th Ray sign. It is the Ray of invocation and prayer. The Archangels are Zadkiel and Amethyst, the guardians of The Violet Flame of Transmutation. Aries is also active on the 1st Ray of Divine Will and Power with Archangels Michael, Divine Protector, and Faith, belief in self.

Libra is found on the Tarot Constellation of The High Priestess, balanced judgment through intuitive awareness. Pluto and the Moon are also found here. Libra is a 3rd Ray sign. It is the Ray of Divine Mind and Active Intelligence with Archangels Chamuel, healing through Divine Love, and Charity, gratitude and graciousness.

Usually I describe the above influences more fully but I am running out of time. Since our “flood” last Friday the days have been hectic and disruptive. But at least I have been able to share the insights about this powerful Full Moon and Lunar Eclipse. If it is dark in your time zone you will be able to see the Moon in Earth’s shadow. If it is not dark use your inner sight.

Red Moon Blessings to all,
Dale
