ISRAEL: Interview July 9, 2014: Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri: Human-Shield Policy Is Effecive. Hamas Using Palestinians As Human Shields: We Desire Death As You Desire Life.


This clip from Hamas TV glorifies death as greater than life and motivates Palestinians to seek death in violent confrontations with Israel. Fathi Hammad, Hamas member of Palestinian Parliament (Legislative Council), extols Palestinians for turning death into an "industry" and for using themselves as human shields to fight Israel. He ends with the following message to the "Zionist enemy": "We desire Death as you desire Life."

Member of Hamas's Legislative Council, Fathi Hamad:
"For the Palestinian people death became an industry at which women excel and so do all people on this land: the elderly excel, the Jihad fighters excel, and the children excel. Accordingly [Palestinians] created a human shield of women, children, the elderly and the Jihad fighters against the Zionist bombing machine, as if they were saying to the Zionist enemy: We desire Death, as you desire Life."

When Israel bombs Hamas targets and civilians die, they’re not just collateral damage. Many of them are conscious human shields who have deliberately chosen to get their 72 virgins this way.

Hamas is making a bet that using human shields will deter Israel. And if it doesn’t, they get to shout “Atrocity” and scream that Israel is cold-bloodedly murdering civilians. (via Memri TV)

Host: “Are people still going up to the rooftops? Witnesses told us there is a large gathering and people are still going to the Kawari family house, in order to prevent the Zionist occupation’s warplanes from targeting it. What is your comment about this?”

“People are reverting to the (human shield) method which proved very successful in the days of martyr Nizar Riyan…”

Hamas Spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri: “This attests to the character of our noble, Jihad-fighting people who defend their rights and their homes with their bare chests and their blood. The policy of people confronting the Israeli warplanes with their bare chests in order to protect their homes has proven effective against the occupation.”

“Also this policy reflects the character of our brave, courageous people.”

“We in Hamas call upon our people to adopt this policy.”
I’m not sure why the human shields can’t wear shirts and maybe something underneath them. It’s like that admonition to wear clean underwear if you get into a car accident.

The Hamas TV host mentioned Nizar Riyan’s success story. What was his success story?
Last Thursday, the IAF killed Hamas leader Nizar Riyyan, along with his four wives and eleven of his children whom he had gathered around him in his home. The ‘Palestinian’ web site Ma’an interviewed one of Riyyan’s surviving children and from what she (proudly) says, Jim Jones’ mass suicide cult had nothing on Riyyan.

One hour before he was killed Rayyan’s daughter in law Eyman Asfora went to visit him. Walaa remembers that Eyman, wife to Rayyan’s eldest son Bilal, was received with a smile. He asked her if she would like to die a martyr with him, and she said “yes.” But she left seconds before the missile struck the four-storey home.

As it turned out, when Rayyan offered his daughter-in-law the “opportunity” to die he had already received a phone call from the IDF warning him to evacuate his house due to an impending airstrike.

The 11 children who died with Nizar Rayyan ranged in age from one year old to 16. Another son died years earlier when Rayyan sent him to carry out a suicide bombing in Gaza. Two Israelis were murdered in that attack.
What about this is successful exactly? Well it led to some dead kids and negative media coverage of Israel. That’s how Hamas thinks.
The bodies of a senior Hamas leader’s small children were today ghoulishly paraded through the streets of Gaza as the group pledged to avenge their deaths.

Nizar Rayan, his four wives and 10 of his children were all killed by in an Israeli air strike on his home after he ignored warnings they should go into hiding.

In grisly scenes, mourners held up the bloodied bodies of the children to the cameras in a clear attempt to blacken Israel’s name and highlight its brutality.

Graphic images showed the young children’s uncovered faces as the victims were carried by thousands of angry Hamas supporters during the funeral procession.
Mission accomplished? Apparently. All he had to do was die and take as many of his kids with him as he could.

Now there are more human shields at the Kawari home, mentioned in the video, drinking the Halal Kool Aid.
A further warning came as the occupants were leaving, he said in a telephone interview, when an Israeli drone apparently fired a flare at the roof of the three-story home. “Our neighbors came in to form a human shield,” he said, with some even going to the roof to try to prevent a bombing. Others were in the stairway when the house was bombed not long afterward.

Seven people died, Mr. Kaware said, a figure also stated by the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza, which also said that 25 people were wounded. The Israeli military said that targeted houses belonged to Hamas members involved in launching rockets or other military activity, and that they had been used as operations rooms.
Look at those Israeli monsters, offering repeated warnings before bombing a Hamas target and then killing human shields who voluntarily went there.
